Judging by your avatar and that post, you're a fan.

No kidding. I could go all day just talking about how great of a story it was beyond all the jazzy special effects and neat choreography. The movie did what it can from what was given, but the comics certainly touched on the mature storyline much more.

    I even blogged about it.

Yeah, I really need to work on dialogue flow, but in school I was never really taught creative writing strategies, so I can only narrarate fairly well. That's all self-taught.

Though writing classes certainly help, they're nothing compared to just writing. Try to read and dissect plays or scripts. See how they work together and how the previous line helps the other to give interest to the viewer. I would go ahead and read some Shakespeare, preferably Hamlet because I love Hamlet.

After you're done with that, keep on writing. I can't stress this enough. Some people delude themselves into believing that they'll have a successful career as an author but they don't put the necessary legwork into it. It's a skill, and like all skills, it requires constant practice. Get a blog if necessary. Type down all the inane crap that goes into your mind. If a particular topic pops up in your mind, write it down somewhere and use it. Stephen King writes at least 1000 words daily, and it's one of the reasons for his success today.

You don't have to be a professional author to gain something from having competent writing skills. Unless you're going to be a hermit, chances are that you'll need it for your future occupation.

Coming from you, that means quite a bit to me.

    Why?

I liked it. A bit of awkward dialogue though, so I'd focus on working on that. Keep writing and try to build up your voice. Don't be afraid to delve into darker themes; in fact, I prefer them over most camp storylines. The question marks are really a turn off though. I know it's inadvertent, but I couldn't focus on the story when there are question marks popping up everywhere. Try editing them out and I'll probably read it again.

Don't be afraid to call yourself a writer. You're already one.

    Same here.

Then don't read the damn story. Better yet, don't post and act like it's such a marvelous characteristic that you can't take less than five minutes out of your extravagant lives to sit down, read, and post a meaningful critique.

Do you do wallpapers too? I'd like anything that you can do with Ramona Flowers. I'm giving you pretty much the creative freedom to do whatever you want.

OH JUSAT CUZ U TYPE FAST AINT AN EXCUSE!

    Really buddy? I'm only twelve.

I can write quite fast for my age, and I take the time to use proper grammar.

If you don't proofread, look over your work and use proper words. (because, Not "cuz")
Your work will look like ****.

And don't think you can just go get a spellchecker, That doesn't count and besides, that's like cheating on a test.
But let me correct your post, really. I don't mind.

I am eleven years of age and I can write stuff fifty times faster than that gentleman. I suppose I might have made a few mistakes with my spelling abilities, But it is because I type insanely fast.
My father grades English papers and writes story's in his free time, and I still type faster than him!

That took me about... a minute to write,

Don't pride your self on how fast you can type, focus on the grammer & spelling

In fact, to make my point I am going to see how much text I can type in 10 seconds, I'll put it in a spoiler.

A cat was walking down a street, he saw a bird. "My, what a pre

    "BEEP" my timer just ended.

That took me 10 seconds, no spelling mistakes or errors. I didn't write much. But I wrote it correctly.

Also, Laughing so hard at the fact you spelled spelling wrong.

Wow dude. Way to take "condescending braggart" to a whole different level.

Nobody cares if you type like a ****ing tornado if what you're blurting out is an incoherent mess like that.

    I wasn't either??

I didn't say you were. Holy Christ you're difficult.

    Quote from ambassadorevil

And I don't care if I'm getting riled up. It's sickening. People act like because they're atheist they're a billion times smarter than any IDIOT who would accept religion as their explanation for the universe. I don't even understand how people can be that ****ing childish.

You're talking to the guy that posted these on the same damn thread you're currently looking at:

    Quote from Foxface

So you're saying that religious people, in layman terms, aren't as smart as atheists and agnostics? Just trying to see it from your perspective here.

Also, religion doesn't make people destroy. Interpretations of the religion make people blow up cars and fly planes into buildings. And don't say that it's the religion's fault there as well. Mark David Chapman was reportedly influenced by J.D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. Does that mean we should ban literature as well?

    Quote from Foxface

I know, but a polite discussion of the matter isn't against the rules. Why do you think that religion automatically makes people less intellectual? In fact, one of the smartest people I have ever come to conversing with, David Wong, is a Christian himself.

I myself don't think people should be judged by their faiths. But again, it's an opinion.

    I also quoted from Gladstone:
There have been atheists of significant intellect: Bertrand Russell, Richard Dawkins, and the aforementioned Christopher Hitchens. But in what may come as a surprise to the Internet, not believing in God will not, in itself, make you smart. Reading the God Delusion is as likely to transform you into a genius as reading the Holy Bible will make you a saint. And by the same token, faith need not be a sign of a feeble mind. But just mention God online and you'll be mocked as a mental deficient awaiting the second coming of the "flying spaghetti monster."

In fact, you were posting at the same time I was. I'm not sure why you're suddenly irrationally angry at me because I'm apparently judging people's intellect by their faith when only yesterday I was completely against it. It's the absolute epitome of preaching to the choir.

Haha, Jesus Christ. Calm the **** down dude. You're taking this too seriously than you have to. Take a cup of tea or a jog or something.

You said that it wasn't a terrible argument. Then I replied by supporting my position that it was in fact a mediocre argument. I wasn't saying anything about the existence of God. I was saying that the way he tried to support the existence of God was terrible. Nothing to be all riled up about.

I don't see how that's a terrible argument. Sure, it doesn't mean it's true simply because you can't disprove it, but that's why it's a belief. It hasn't been disproven, so that still gives people reason to believe in it. I mean, if they want to anyway.

It's a terrible argument since you're shifting the burden of proof to the other side. You can't disprove that we are all actually ruled by a magic dancing jellybean. Does it mean it's true?
