Actually, I'm pretty sure the lighter meat next to the raw porkchop is just a new texture for the cooked porkchop, since the steak is going to use the old cooked porkchop texture from what it seems. So no lamb.
Either way, I'm excited for 1.8 and what it's going to bring to the survival aspect of the game.

Jul 26, 2011Forstride posted a message on 1.8 Updates: New Mob...Revealed?My guess is that it's some kind of thief. It's holding a block, so maybe it takes stuff out of your inventory, and maybe even chests if they get in your house.Posted in: News
Or of course, they could take blocks from the terrain. Maybe they're aliens who come down and steal resources for their home planet or something, and you have to fight them off, or they'll continue to steal resources.
Who knows...They look freaking creepy as all hell though. -

Jun 27, 2011Forstride posted a message on Digital Diamond: Fully Functioning BathroomThis isn't impressive at all. All he did was make giant structures, clearly non-legit, hook up finite water pumps to an ocean, and add pistons for the drains.Posted in: News
Now, do this without a ton of mods, and it would be impressive. -
Jun 6, 2011Forstride posted a message on Minecraft Coming To Xbox Kinect This WinterYou know, the more I think about it, the more I realize how cool using Kinect would be. Granted you have to walk, dig, etc. all by yourself. As long as texture packs, importing worlds, and SMP is supported, I'll probably buy it.Posted in: News
EDIT: To all the people saying Notch is selling out: He's not some lesser known indie developer anymore. He should be able to port his game that's sold millions to consoles/handhelds without being completely shot down by the awful Minecraft community (It's not awful just because of this, but yeah). -

May 31, 2011Forstride posted a message on Minecraft Patch 1.6.6 Released@Necrospire: It creates a nice little patch of tall grass and flowers when you use the bonemeal on grass blocks. Definitely great for repopulating areas with little tall grass, or just adding more.Posted in: News

Well, good luck with that then

I don't really see why that necessarily needs to be a BOP add-on. Just use the biome dictionary for mob spawning, and it should work with any biome mod.
0
It depends on the type of add-on. If it's just something that adds new biomes or whatever, I'd prefer if you just made your own mod, because I don't want something that basically serves the same purpose to have our name attached to it.

because you didn't go to the 3rd page
not sure. i don't know exactly how the customization options are stored in the world file, and i'm not sure if it would even work if using RTG's world type

Yes, there are options to disable pretty much every BOP world gen thing in the customization menu when you create a new world.

yeah, literally removed all of them. not like the mystic grove, ominous woods, crag, and so on are still in the mod. the pasture looked horrible within minecraft, and the barley drops were overpowered. not to mention, planted crops like that are more of a manmade thing. it felt weird having it as a naturally generating "biome."
also, just for future reference, the decidious forest doesn't even exist anymore (along with some other biomes that i just didn't like anymore), so i'd suggest trying the latest 1.9/1.8.9 version and seeing how the biomes have changed if you haven't already.
i create this mod for myself first and foremost, and if i'm not happy with the biomes or other content, i'm either going to change it until i'm happy with it, or if i can't find a way to improve it, i'll just remove it. that's not to say i don't take community input at all (seeing as i readded the hot springs in 1.8.9), but i know what i want to do with my own mod.

I felt like the mod was too bloated before, and removed certain things. Some things haven't been readded yet, like Nether biomes and a few other things, but yeah.
My goal has always been to make the mod fit in well with vanilla, but I don't think it necessarily doesn't feel like a mod. It's just less bloated, and I'm happy with the current state of it.

None? That shouldn't even be a thing. I don't know what that mod is doing to cause incompatibilities, but if it's actually the source of it, they need to fix something.
0
I don't see how that's our fault. Vanilla uses lowercase folder names, as does basically every single other Minecraft mod. I'm not even sure why that would cause incompatibility with the mod in question, but they clearly have something they need to sort out if it is.

We now have a stable build for 1.9:
http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/com/github/glitchfiend/biomesoplenty/BiomesOPlenty/
The overworld is finished, and while we haven't re-added Nether biomes yet, you'll be able to play without needing to reset your overworld to get new features, or worrying about messed up chunk borders.

Nether biomes have not been re-added yet in 1.8.9/1.9. They'll be coming back soon though. Also, gravel appears in the Nether in vanilla, so it's not a "BOP thing."
0
There's a world gen option to disable it when creating a new world, although I guess if you're using RTG, you're not going to have the options.

Ever wanted to use Biomes O' Plenty in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3? Well, now you can! We've added 3 new biomes to Beta 1.7.3, as well as improving 3 existing biomes!
To install, just download the ZIP file below, open your Beta 1.7.3 minecraft.jar file, delete the META-INF folder inside, and add the files in the ZIP file to the .jar file!

Yeah, I did that, but like I said, it's just not working for some reason. I have this under the grass section in gbuffers_terrain.vsh/shadow.vsh:
|| mc_Entity.x == 4206.0f //Biomes O Plenty Grass
|| mc_Entity.x == 4210.0f //Biomes O Plenty Flowers 1
|| mc_Entity.x == 4211.0f //Biomes O Plenty Flowers 2
And of course, there are the leaves and other stuff that I'm not gonna bother posting. The IDs are the ones that show up when tooltips are enabled, so I'm really not sure what the issue is.

Hey, has anyone had success with adding mod block IDs to gbuffers_terrain.vsh and shadows.vsh for waving grass/leaves and whatnot? Trying to set it up for BOP for my own personal use, and I have the correct block IDs and everything, but it just doesn't want to work for some reason.
The BOP support currently in SEUS is very outdated, and I'm very inexperienced when it comes to shaders, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm on 1.9, if that matters at all.
