What are you looking for in a server?- Vanilla based server with little to no PvP, I have been away from Minecraft for a while now and would like to get back into it.
What is your passion in Minecraft?- Building large homes, usually a home that looks like a tree, and just having a conversation with othres every now and again.
How long do you generally play and what hours are you on?- Occasionally at the moment due to work, and playing WoW.
What are you enrolled in School/major/work?- I have 4 positions at a hotel, Front Desk (newest), Houseperson (main), Breakfast Attendant (Substitute), Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager (Substitute).
Will you be an active part of our community?(Skype calls and playing mini games together?)- I can but I'll probably be to shy til I'm adjusted on the server.
Any additional information that you find important?- I've been an admin on another Vanilla based server for over 3 years now so I would say I'm pretty trustworthy. I helped manager the players by enforcing the rules, helped build multiple spawns, and assisted in building a few mini-games.
I'm a 26 year old female looking to be an Ianite God. I feel that I fit the role very well because I like to try and be friends with people even if they aren't on my faction/team. I work and play World of Warcraft, but I'll have plenty of chances to be available on the server. I should be able to be on enough so that my followers know who I am, but not to the point where they have access to me seemingly all the time. Since I work, and play WoW at late hours daily, I can be on at various time frames so no matter the time or location of a follower, they all will have chances to see me online. I've been an admin on a vanilla based server for over 3 years now and have experience in a few different plugins because of it. I also have made websites for both my vanilla Minecraft server and my WoW guild and would be willing to set one up for the Mianite server that I'd be joining. I try to avoid banning players, but if I feel that I have to then I will so the other players don't have to keep dealing with a problem player on the server. I have never been banned myself.
My ideal Mianite based server would be-
Followers are clearly able to tell who is on their team.
A clear why to tell who is a god and who isn't in chat.
Purge days so that there is breaks from PvP.
Trials or punishments for people who kill when it's not the purge.
An active server so there is always people talking in chat.
Some sort of group voice chat program for all to use (Example-Teamspeak, Ventrilo or RaidCall. Skype is all invite based so something else would be better IMO)
4: I'm actually female so I fit the real Mianite well, I like trying to be neutral when it comes to making friends across multiple factions. Oddly enough I don't really like PvP but I love the whole idea around the Mianite game, my lack of interest in PvP is probably why I try to make friends across factions in order to avoid them and I feel that it fits the role of Ianite very well. I like living in tree homes similar to CaptainSparkles's Jerry tree and actually had been making these type of homes before he ended up having one of his own. I'm 26 years old and play when I can between work, and raiding on World of Warcraft late at night, but I should have plenty of chances to be on the server enough to do godly things for the server. I've been an admin on another server for 3 years now and actually made the website for the server as well.

What do you expect from a nearly perfect minecraft server? Active server with a decent amount of players on it, but not so many that chat is flooded with constant text that makes reading it impossible. Staff who aren't dicks and kick or ban for no reason, or withing asking you about an issue before banning you. Or tell you to "get over it" if you make one post about someone breaking a rule (happened on a Pixelmon server I played on, no joke). No griefers, stealing or ninja PvP when it's unwanted. Events on the server that don't happen nearly everyday, but just enough to keep your interests in the game itself.
Tell us a bit about yourself: I'm an active member of a server that I Admin on, I like protecting the server(s) I play on when I have the ability to do so. I really don't mind the Admin role, just it can get troublesome if you run into someone who simply won't listen and you have to decide if you should ban them, or give a 2nd chance.
Outside of Minecraft, I work at a hotel as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper and make sure all the rooms got cleaned by my co-workers correctly, as well as do general cleaning myself. I play WoW at least 3 times a week or more in order to raid and play with friends. I love playing games with my husband, until he starts raging cause then it just becomes no fun, and his ADD makes it hard to play long periods of time with him. Love youtube, Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter is the best! I like reading occasionally but don't do it enough.
I've been called "the most antisocial, social person they know" which oddly enough is fitting cause I love being around people, listening to them, and chiming in when I feel like I have enough to say about a subject, but like my alone time every once in a while too. I'm sky with speaking to new people until I'm use to them, then I speak a bit more freely after that and have no issues.
I believe it is because the redstone torch is powering the line that the pressure plate is supposed to be powering. I'm not fantastic at redstone either, but here's how I make my doors.
I agree, it is because the redstone torch he has placed isn't being prevented from reaching the redstone under the pressure plates, making them constantly powered like that means it will not respond to a player stepping onto them since it already has power. The pictures posted above work perfectly.
If he is running it with mods on, you most likely have to have the exact same mods he has in order to join it. I'm not sure if LAN servers work with mods though.
The simplest idea i can think of is a jump map, but I don't want to just default to an idea that could be used for basically anything. I want something more complex then that.

I'm an admin on a survival server and I'm trying to think up of an event that multiple players could participate in at once that involves mainly centered on Valentines day. The simplest idea i can think of is a jump map, but I don't want to just default to an idea that could be used for basically anything. I want something more complex then that. Space is also not an issue because we use multiverse so that the events on the server don't take up building areas from normal game play.
We have a few plugins that aren't directed towards normal player use, so if you idea might require something added to the server it will still be considered. Again thanks for taking the time to read my post and for any suggestions you might share with me.

I am an admin on the server called Mystery Lunch! We aren't exactly a new server, but we just started on a new map and host a couple of days ago. The staff here actually care, and do their jobs properly and our players are pretty active as well. ML is a survival server with few plugins, and what plugins we do have is mostly used by the staff. We have chest protect in the form of the LWC plugin, and players can have one /sethome. Other then that it's all survival. We have multiverse but it's so we can run special server events, as well as a place to hold our mob and player arenas which will be added later in the future instead of having them placed random within the world and in the way. The majority of our player base is a bit young, but a lot of the staff are either adults, or players that we felt were mature enough for the job. So even if we have a lot of younger players, you should take note that the server itself is run by players who care and do their jobs well. We just moved to a new map and host TODAY and so a lot of building room is available for both new and old players. But don't let that deter you from joining us, since the start of the server itself, we've only had 5 since July 7th 20012 when we 1st opened up the server to the Minecraft world, and each one was due to major changes to the game like the addition of villagers and new biomes. We have a strict no grief/stealing policy and PvP is only acceptable if all players involved agree to it. Hi, I'm new to the PC version of Minecraft and I'm looking for some people to play with. I'd like to join a vanilla server with a community like feel. I am a stay at home mom and spend a lot of time playing. I'm older, lets just say between 25 and 35 and leave it at that. I haven't been on the PC version long but I wouldn't call myself completely new as I have played MCX360 sense it was first put on the arcade. I run 1.7.4 with no mods or plugins. I don't have Skype though I wouldn't be opposed to acquiring it. Most importantly, I DO NOT like griefing. If someone could please help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm looking to change up my skin some and I could really use a deer skin to sort of match with my name some. I'd like to have a human look to the face if possible, but I'd love to have optional face if the skin is done well enough just encase it looks to odd having a human feature to the skin.
