Alright, where to start... I was a member on a minecraft server for several months; one of the admins started a tekkit server and asked if I would be interested in working on a programming project with him within tekkit. I accepted and played on the tekkit server for a month. When I logged back into the minecraft server however, I noticed that my inventory was completely wiped; I was stipped of all my ranks, and et cetera. The owner initially tried to pass this off as a glitch but ultimately said that he over-reacted. This left an overall nasty feel towards this owner in person; however I never acted out in rage or broke any rules.
Some time later the ownership of the server passed. However, the people who had accepted leadership; I found them to be lazy and that they refused to do their jobs. I was vocal in my distaste, but I kept it to a mature level, just saying that I found the staff to not be doing their jobs. One example was that the desert near a road to my city was completely harvested, which doing such was against the rules. As it happened, this sand was all mined by one person who was banned at that point. The staff outright refused to do anything about it, and I ended up refilling the desert out of my own pocket. As well, I continually called out a staff member for earlier using world-edit to find himself dimonds and other riches. Days and weeks went by and it was obvious that the staff was becoming biased against me; calling me out for little nitpicky things while everyone else on the server was getting by doing the same things. For example, I had asked a staff member (and this is an exact quote) "Hey [staff member], change my name to this?". The staff simply ignored me. By the time I had asked a third staff, the co-owner piped up and told me to ask nicely instead of bossing people around. I then refused to give in to this ridiculous demand and just told them to forget about it.
Later that day, someone on the server was logging off and said "bye everyone except for [me]". Naturally I retaliated, albeit in retrospect rather rudely - but still not anything completely overboard. At that point the staff had given me a temp-mute for a day. I went about minding my own business; and then was shortly banned for "Being rude/disrespect to staff".
The staff member that had banned me is that same member that I was calling out on cheating.
So that's the story behind my one ban. I personally find it to be unjust and am planning to take it up with MC-Bans eventually.
