    Basically, you have to select all of the tiles you've made already and paste them over the new terrain.png. At least, that seems to be the fastest way for me.

    If you need like a more in-depth tutorial though then we'd have to know what program you use to make your texture pack.

    Just open up the file called "terrain". That's the terrain.png.


    Along that note, I would look up how to remove that before you get, like,"FunnyPictureOfACat.exe" and it shows up as "FunnyPictureOfACat".

    Dang, page five already? I should probably bump this, but I'm not that lame. Instead,

    UPDATE BUMMMMMPPPPP!!!!!
    (I know I'm probably setting myself up like I'll update every day but honestly I won't. Maybe like every few days though. That's kinda the plan. This was just a needed bump. I have a life people.)

    ANYWAYS, This update mostly focuses on... really a lot of the simpler blocks admittedly. The only block I'm not really proud of is Sugar Cane, but I'd appreciate if I could get some outside opinions.

    Also, pictures showing off the new stuff better are coming.

    EDIT: gah I forgot to remove my paintings. Fixing now.

    You forgot to mention that you would need to install MCPatcher to see the new texture.

    yeah I saw the whole "everybody plug their own texture pack" thing as soon as I read the topic title.

    Ok, so, what kind of texture pack are you looking for? One that makes the world all cartoony, or post-apocalyptic, or plain, or hyper-detailed, or based on a certain video game/tv show/comic book/waffle, or just 'something'.

    There's like hundreds of texture packs out there, you just have to find one you like.

    Hey everybody who's reading this... well I kind of goofed a little and forgot to update the Lapis Lazuli Ore when I was fixing the stone texture the other day, so it looks kind of weird when you come across it in a cave. (Hooray for playtesting!)

    I'm probably going to update within the next few days anyways so I'll fix it then, instead of making a new download so soon. Sorry for anybody out there with OCD... like myself.

    EDIT: I also added a picture of my house to show off house... stuff.

    Info/Background/Name Choice
    The idea behind this pack is pretty basic. I was sick of seeing all of the dark 'n dreary "realistic" packs. Unless you live in the middle of Mordor, nowhere in the real world looks like that. So, I set out to make a pack that looks the total opposite of those, while being just as "realistic". This pack's meant to be bright to the point of obnoxious, while still being mostly faithful to the original textures.

    COMMUNITY INPUT TIME: I'm taking ideas for what blocks to focus on before next update. I'm already working on all of the Nether blocks, but what else do you think I should focus on?

    About copyrights and stuff... if you want to use any part of this texture pack*, I would appreciate if you PM me first and let me know what you're using it for. Just because I say that doesn't mean it'll be a "NO.". I'll be honest, I suck at asking people for stuff. I know how it is. As long as you're not making money off of using anything in this pack, I'll probably say yes. If you don't PM me first, though, it's a problem.

    *HOWEVER, the grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png both belong to Unitex and are used with permission. You would have to ask him first before including those as part of your texture pack.

    FAQ
    Since nobody's "frequently asked" any of these, I guess it's just a "Q".

    Q: When will you be getting <insert block/mob/item here> done?
    A: Since I've gotten a lot of the main blocks done, I'm taking ideas for what blocks to work on next. Mobs and Items will come after I finish at least a good part of the terrain.png

    Q: I don't like the look of <block/mob/item>!
    A: That answer depends. If you know of a change that would still fit the style I'm going with, such as my cartoon bomb TNT, then I'll probably consider it and add it as an extra file in the next release.

    Q: Leaves and Gravel look ugly right now.
    A: I replaced the leaves in 0.3 but they're still a work in progress. Gravel's just a temporary recolor while I work on the real one.

    Q: Why are a lot of blocks recolors?
    A: Yeah that got WAAAY to long so I'll just say "If you have any problems with blocks being recolors, please post about it."

    My favorite packs... um... Well, I used ShortStuf7's Clean Design Pack for I don't even know how long.

    Now I mainly just use my own pack but it doesn't have a topic or anything yet so no link for you.

    Meh I'll assume the latter.

    Spawn eggs were added in 1.1 to allow people to spawn various mobs in Creative Mode because they were too lazy to fix monster spawners so that people could use them for adventure maps or giggles or whatever. However, you can't spawn hostile mobs on peaceful difficulty (Except Slimes, if I'm not mistaken.)
