A proof of concept is usually just a few blocks you have done. For example,if you make blocks like cobblestone and wood and then take a picture of an NPC village house to show what those two blocks look like. Just so we have some idea of what the pack looks like.

Agreed. was the whole "post them exactly 24 hours apart" thing planned?

Anyways, try something completely different from your old pack. That usually makes it more interesting to make.

Like they say, Diversity is a warm puppy or something like that.

    posted a message on [32x][1.1] I Think It's Realistic 0.3 (WIP)
(I didn't see anything in the rules against a 12-day bump but if there is please let me know)

Seeing as how the downloads for 0.2 were in the 20's, I'll take your silence as a "too busy enjoying the pack to post". Really, I don't bite that much usually.

    UPDATE DOUBLE POST BUMMMMMPPPPP!!!!!
    Changes:
    -Added a better placeholder gravel
    -Crafting Table
    -Wooden Door
    -Stone Bricks (+Mossy/Cracked)
    -Fixed Gold Blocks
    -Make Melons/Pumpkins prettier
    -Lapis Lazuli Blocks are bricks

I didn't do that much to sugar cane because only three people voted in the poll, and each of them had a different answer.

...On a more negative note, something happened with MediaFire and I lost the files for 0.1 and 0.2. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Protip: save the co-ords for your superflat worlds. I usually change the save name (not the world name, but the actual folder) to something like "100x300" or whatever. Then if I somehow die, I just go back to those coords and there's my stuff.

Every mob except the enderdragon can ride in minecarts.

(To all of those people saying it can: the Enderdragon destroys the minecart, or at least the rails, on contact.)

It's not that the world 'regenerates', it's that you get a random spawn every time, since they didn't expect people to actually die in creative mode.

Why not just a mod that makes you 1/8th your normal size? Then, you could just build normal sized stuff.

posted a message on [REQ] Infinite Lighting Mod
So... after seeing this weird glitch happen in one of my builds, I realized it made everything look more thematic to not have torches and glowstone thrown everywhere. So I thought, if it was possible to make a mod that changes the minimum light level from 0 to somewhere in the 11-12 range, so you don't have to throw down torches every five blocks, but when you do, they actually light stuff up.

I know this can kind of be done with SPC's 'light' command, but that seems kind of unnaturally bright to me.

posted a message on Mooshrooms and Mushroom Stew
... Or you just could carry the mushrooms and bowl seperately. As of... 1.8, I think, you can craft Mushroom Stew in the 2x2 crafting grid. If you bring a stack of each mushroom and a bowl, that's 64 stews you can make.

Also Mushroom Stew isn't stackable because you keep the bowl.

posted a message on Lighting Glitch... Thing?
(I figured this would go here as it involves a creation-in-progress)

So, I used a map editor to make a giant wooden block and stuff so I could carve out this town and stuff yadda yadda anyways...

So I spawned inside an area inside of the box, and THE WHOLE PLACE IS LIT UP. No torches, glowstone, pumpkins, anything. The entire room is light level 15. There's no slabs or planks involved.

EDIT: Apparently, it's getting light from outside the box, as it's now all night-time blue... Still confused.

Normally, I would appreciate my not-having-to-place-torches-everywhere-ness, but I'm afraid that the magical lighting will just turn off at some point.

    IMAGE PROOF:

Now it's nighttime? (Also a small preview-y thing)

Hey guys, let's state our opinions about a video game as fact!

Why does it matter what people play? Does it ruin your life when someone plays on Creative? People have different opinions and not everyone want's to play survival. That's the beauty of Minecraft, you don't have to play it any specific way.

NO. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO PLAY. HARD MODE SURVIVAL PLAYER MASTER RACE.
    </sarcasm>

Seriously though, why is it such a big deal to you guys? Personally, I have a creative world and a survival world. One is creative, the other is survival. I create in one, and then go and survive in the other. Despite what you may believe, I have not ruptured the third dimension by doing this.

Define "big" first. "big" could be like pulling a lever to dispense cake, or "big" could be like making a playable Minecraft inside of Minecraft out of redstone. It just depends on what you're comparing it too.

    to make sounds probably.

Sarcasm aside, I always love seeing redstone computers. It like balances on the line between "awesome" and "no life" so perfectly.

I'm looking forward to seeing this when it gets done!
