I'm having a little problem. Whenever I put my view distance to extreme, minecraft maximizes my Cpu load and crashes. I know that I can run this perfectly. Furthermore, I see blank holes in the ground after the update where the singleplayer runs on lan.

I've always been haunted by the multiplayer holes that always pop up. There has never been a time in my life that I haven't gone without them. Now, since minecraft became it's on singleplayer lan server, I constantly see these holes and unloaded terrain there. This makes the game unplayable. Are there any solutions?
I have been modding minecraft as long as i have been playing it. Recently I have decided to create my own server. I loaded it and connected to it. I, at the moment had the planes mod installed. When I went to craft in my server i could craft the items not found in the vanilla minecraft. My question is that can i play with SP mods on servers because it looked like I could and, If others as well could create and use the items that I have installed. Or if they could not create the items at least see them like the plane.
