While I was busy getting my branch mine started by digging a 6X6 hole in the ground all the way to bed rock, I was bummed that the hole I made doesn't have very much ore, but I continued cause there still could be more of it. After some time, I suddenly ran into a cave, iron ore vane, and a block of emerald ore. Thinking that it's a big cave, I quickly ran out of the mine to get ready to explore the cave and get 3 of my dogs. I went into the cave and only found that it's small with a pool of lava, dirt, and gravel. I took care of the lava with the water bucket and start digging at the dirt and gravel to get the dirt out of the way and the flint from gravel. After the room is finally gravelless, I suddenly hit gold ore, so I mined around it so there's no lava next to it until suddenly more iron ore showed up. After mining around the iron, I found a vain of redstone, so I minded around it too. Soon I kept finding redstone and another iron ore, so I started thinking that there might be diamonds since I'm at diamond level. Soon enough, I found a single ore of diamond sticking out of the ceiling in a lava room, 3 blocks above lava. I used the water bucket to quickly take out the lava and went to the diamond to start mining around it. Since there's no more diamonds there, I continued mining just to dubble check and found one lat iron ore.
Gold ore, vain of 3.
Red stone ore one, vain of 8.
Iron ore one, vain of 4
Red stone ore two, vain of 5.
Red stone ore three, vain of 4.
Red stone four, vain of 8.
Red stone ore five, vain of 5.
Iron ore two, vain of 4.
Single block of diamond ore.
Iron vain three, vain of 3.
I don't think I had ever been this lucky in Minecraft ever. Well, time to mine those ores. Thank goodness that we can turn redstone dust into blocks now.

Edit minecraft.jar and change how much ram minecraft uses. RAM = Your computers memory. By defalut it uses a really small amount thats why its very laggy with some computers. Search how to change the RAM minecraft uses. Make sure it doesn't use more than half of your computers. RAM or minecraft will be lag free. But your computer = laggy.
This can work in certain situations, but is not always a permanent solution to the problem. You can apply what ever mods you want and such but if the games code is causing the issues. There's not much your gonna be able to do about it in till the game has been updated/fixed.
This tutorial will explain how to setup and use SKMCLauncher, this launcher allows you to have multiple installs of minecraft and choose witch one you want upon opening it. You can use this to have for example 1.4.7 installed, and the latest snapshot or even an older version of minecraft all at the same time!
3. Open SKMCLauncher.jar, you should get a screen like this:

5. Now click on New, then fill in the name box.
6. Now got to your start/windows icon and type in the search box %appdata% this should open a folder like this:
7. Now click on the Roaming folder:
8. Now create a new folder called minecraft2:
9. Now open the folder you just created and copy the folders directory:
10. Now go back to SKMCLauncher, then click Browse:
11. You should now get a window link this:
12. Now delete everything in the Folder Name box, now hit Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste that directory you copied earlier.
13. Now click Open you should see a screen in SKMCLauncher like this.
13-1. As you can see you now have two installations and two installation directories, when you first launch any new installations it's going to download the latest minecraft.
14. Now click OK now click on and highlight the new minecraft installation you made, and click Play after you've entered your login details. The game will now launch and ask to download the latest minecraft patch. Click yes and let it download and patch the game, now you can either copy a snapshot or old version of minecraft into the new .minecraft inside /roaming/appdata/minecraft2/.minecraft/bin. Note you must update and run the game at least once after you do a new installation in order to construct the .minecraft folder within your "minecraft2" folder.

No. Horrible idea. How does this make Survival "more exciting"? This doesn't actually add excitement. It adds the need to monitor and remember more crap. There's a lot of things to do in Minecraft, and this is just gonna add extra headaches because eventually, people will forget to "preserve" their food or forget to repair their "refrigeration chests". Ice blocks can only be collected with Silk Touch, by the way.
It doesn't end there. Not only do you need Silk Touch only ice blocks, you make the fridge chest's strength depend on what biome you're in. Now you're gonna force people to live in certain biomes just to keep their refrigeration chests going longer so the game doesn't troll their food and make it rot.
