It's finally here after being a work in progress for more than a year.

Technology is taking over the natural world. This pack alters the textures of the game in unusual ways so it might take some time to get used to.

    Enjoy!

Please don't confuse this pack with the game Hearthstone.

This is a resourcepack dedicated to the idea of a living, hostile world where the surface is its skin, the nether its stomach and the End, its dreamspace or brain. The overall idea is to make as much of this as strange and alien as possible, make things rather fleshy and questionably gross. This was inspired by an older pack by the same name:

    https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/resource-packs/1225419-16x-1-0-0-the-behemoth-updated-december-5th

I enjoyed playing with that back in the early days of minecraft, and so I decided that I would make my own version of it but compatible for present-day minecraft. Its been an idea sitting in the back of my mind for sometime. This is just an release of what I currently have finished so I can get feedback and potential insights. Most of the blocks are done (sans: sea related blocks, the coloured blocks as I'm deciding what to do with those, command blocks/structure blocks), some entities are finished, and some items as well. and I have some paintings too.

eleazzaar posted a message on How to legitimately get a copy of the Default Textures (and other assets) for any version of Minecraft

One of the most important resources for anyone making a resource/texture pack, is to have a copy of the default resources— for the version you are working on. This lets you see the correct folder structure, and what all the files should be named. Mojang likes to rename a bunch of files about every other version, so you can’t rely on old information remaining true.

    Bedrock:

If you are working on Bedrock check out this link: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/addons/ Scroll down to the bottom for a small link for “resource packs”. You’re done!

    Java:

The default textures are a harder to get from Java, but the game has already downloaded every verision of minecraft you have played. If you want the resources for a new version of minecraft, make sure you start it up, to make the launcher download it.

For Os X you need to go to Library/Application Support/Minecraft/Versions/ If you can't see the Library folder it's probably hidden. "Shift" + "Command" + "." will reveal the hidden files and folders in whatever finder window you currently have active.

For Windows you need to go to .minecraft/versions/

There you should see a lot of folders. Choose the folder named with the version of minecraft you want.

Inside will be two files. You want the .JAR file.

Using your .ZIP opening application of choice, open it up. If your .ZIP app doesn’t want to open it, you may need to make a copy of the file, and replace the .JAR with .ZIP.

Inside will be a ton of cryptically names files. Don’t worrry, you only need one thing— the “assets” folder. There you will find all the default resource.

When assembling your resource pack, assets, goes directly inside the folder that names your resource pack. So for me it’s Lithos-Core/assets/ and all the folders under that will mirror the folder structure in the .JAR.

CopherNeue posted a message on [32x] CopherNeue's Dawnbreaker - Pixel-Art, Limited Palette, Optifine Support

Hello, first post and first serious pack! I've been silently crafting this pack over at Discord and Reddit, and I've finally decided to make a thread about it! :D Since this is a Work In Progress pack, assume lots of rebuilding of textures over time. I'll most likely rerereredo things as I get more feedback for it.

I kept the people transitioning from vanilla in mind, so most vanilla players should have no problem trying to identify the myriad of blocks and items. The look is experimentative with colour due to the limited palette, so for those that don't like those, this pack may not be for you. I also offer Optifine additions to the pack, but as supplements instead of the main feature, so you shouldn't have a problem running this pack without it :D

The palette itself is called DB32, made by Dawnbringer:

Here's some screenshots of it so far:

    About the pack

Before Dusk is a 32x32 medieval, rustic styled resourcepack with a tinge of bright colour. I originally began working on this pack in mid 2013 and has evolved from a 16x16 pack, to a 32x32 pack.

    Pictures

    MCPatcher and Optifine

This resourcepack does not need MCPatcher or Optifine, but with it, it can improve the visuals immensely. I would highly recommend using it to get custom CTM (e.g. sandstone pillars and hieroglyphics) and colours (e.g. sky)

    Use of this pack

-You may not use my textures in any way, shape or form commercially (unless you message me and I grant you access, credit will be required)

-You may not redistribute my pack and claim it as your own
-You may not put money-making links such as adf.ly links with this work

This Twitch thing... and Java Edition rename before that (and broken bed models, nothing changing with 1.8-->1.9+ display). I still don't have interest in Minecraft, things seem to be... not getting better.

So I'm not going to make a Twitch account (no use for it, I don't like making accounts), the only thing I have important left here is my outdated Vanilla model tutorial. I'm not sure if anyone is going to be staying and wants to take that over (that is if they write the JSON by hand rather than using a model program).

If there is someone who wants to take it over, maybe Alvoria (hopefully that notifies, because otherwise I don't remember how to do mentions) could set it up. Or maybe instead of a thread takeover, they could post a new thread, especially if it's intended to be newest-release-specific (1.9+).

Although I'm not really sure how much value there is in updating the thread (excluding better formatting, if such a thing is possible), aside from maybe explaining multipart and other newer tricks/caveats. And any info on converters that exist, last I checked there was one that only really worked with scale and standard 90 rotations (and it didn't round at that, so certain numbers could be ugly). IMO much of it is straightforward once JSON, vanilla's structure, and coordinates are understood. Especially when you can view the default files to see what's going on.

    --------------------------------------------

I never posted this specific image here:

enchanted book, glistering melon, cookie, bread, pufferfish, arrow, apple, paper, mushroom soup

Mostly unreleased models (1.8 format, like all of my other stuff. I probably have posted some of those models before), I was trying out alternate rotations. Some of these rotations I added long after I had stopped working on the pack because of a random reddit thread about (vanilla's?) bed rotation applied to other blocks...

I also made this for that thread, using the rotation I already had for my bed model (from back when vanilla had an item icon for beds):

Also for a different thread shortly before-or-after:

It's old, but this (barrier models for resource packs with barrier.json in the models/block folder) never became a thing:

I suggested on Reddit and to Optifine's creator. Arg.

Also, I haven't really done anything with texture art in a long time. I want to work on improving on art in general (all I can really do is shading) but I'm a piece of garbage with almost no motivation. And that's not an exaggeration like most artists... because I don't really make enough art to qualify as an artist...

But hey, I can draw rocks!

I don't remember if I said it before here, so: Goodbye. If I said it before, goodbye again.

It looks like the links aren't working because the first part of the URL is gone. Try replacing the two dots at the front of the link url with "minecraftforum.net" So for example the Eyvindr pack's URL would look like "minecraftforum.net/topic/2756984-32x-eyvindr-a-pixel-art-adventure-17x/"

I recommend using the one that's on MCpatcher. Just make sure to have the pack in the appropriate folder (for the pack's version) to avoid any problems.

    I hope that helps you.
