Actually I do like it since it´s better spread above the space. The other was just one small piece in the middle, which is quite boring to look at.

    Everything went better than expected.

The "mix" between 16x and 32x makes for a pretty unique style though, which is a good thing, so keep it up as long as you enjoy! :) Only change the ore, it really is too small.

Hmm I should draw something too..

Oooh, you're not going to enjoy the new netherrack and quartz I've made, I made the quartz really small.

    >:-)

Personally I really like it, I want it to blend in so it doesn't stand out like a flag pole.

I feel the same way unless I'm using a tablet to draw with. My mind is so stuck in the 16x tileset it's really hard to push past it.

I would love to see some 32x textures you've made! :)

I could be wrong, but I feel like with a few of your 32x textures (here the netherrack) it seems that you're suffering from a classic case of iusuallytexturein16xandimtexturingin32xitis. This commonly occurs when, as its name suggests, an artist switches from their normal 16x16 resolution to 32x32 resolution. They don't know how to fill up the space, if you will. The symptoms are most apparent on natural textures like stone and dirt and such, that don't have a distinct structure or boundary. (Here your netherrack.) A way to identify this slight problem is to look at your texture and ask yourself, "If I split this up into four 16x16 tiles, would they look perfectly fine?" Here, I believe the answer is yes. It's also noticeable with the quartz, seeing as the ore chunk is so small; perfectly textured for a 16x block. The problem with this is that in-game and tiled across large spaces, the bits tend to look too small and strange. With some work, this problem can be remedied. The best thing to do would probably be to make larger chunks with more detail.

If you're going for a pebbly look though, similar to gravel, then the texture is perfectly fine and discount everything that I said. No matter what the situation, all of the textures are great.

You are absolutely right, actually, I'm having trouble filling up the space and I'm so used to working on 16x so I can't make large textures. I'll just have to practise.

sidegrass, yupyup. It feels so bland and lifeless next to the pretty dirt. one reason might be because there's the grass colormap applied on it. it looks better on your texture hub thing. i guess it's hard to achieve much of a hueshift with the colormap, so i dunno if i'm just nitpicking. I never use it so i don't really know how hard it would be to get the colours you want with it.

I can try some new colours for it and see if I like them.

Oh! You're actually continuing that pack?!?! :D

I'm more excited about the 32x than this 16x (since we have heartstone still) so that's awesome.

I also won't be continuing mine because of uni+PP but I might be nicking textures and using them in PP (already done so with my obsidian).

    Good!

Awesome! the dirt is waayyy better now, and im liking all the stone textures. Chiseled stonebrick is a nice touch with your avatar on it. I guess the only criticism is that i'm not very fond of the grass color. Are you planning on changing it?

    The colour of the sidegrass?

Yea, dirt, sidegrass, top grass, stone textures, etc. all look MUCH nicer (and I liked the old stuff). Really great update fishy, it looks very good!

Can't wait to see your take on acacias and large oaks! Eventually the new snapshot stone too. :)

Thanks, I've already made the large oak textures. :)

Ahh this is gorgeous! I love how soft the colors are.

    Thank you!
