Somehow I don't get why mods like this get showcased but bigger ones don't.
Maybe they only showcase "complete" mods

Never said it was better for EVERYONE. Just that it isn't always a problem.

Oh yeah, because students TOTALLY learn better when being FORCED to learn than when it becomes fun to do so. Would you clean your room better if you were TOLD to do it than if you WANTED to do it?

BUT that doesn't mean they changed things other than creatures. You could do a lot with creature editing; However, you can't do some things, and it's not always the BEST way.

Is it SERIOUSLY limited to entities only? THAT STINKS.

true, true. The point I am trying to make is I feel excessively violent games (like GTAV, maybe not ALL GTA games) can breed real-life violence, and I would NEVER let someone under the age of 18 play it.

I think SOME games aren't bad for you, like Minecraft, Terraria, ect.
HOWEVER
some games, such as GTA and The Division, encourage wrong behaviors and DO have negative impacts on people's personalities. They may not make you do things like kill and such, but I have witnessed firsthand that they can make you more irritable, easier to be disrespectful, and less fun to be around. -

It's a bug that is not limited to 1.9 - I've been able to do such a thing throughout many minecraft versions by toggling a piston every block update tick. (1 block update tick = 1/2 redstone tick)

at this point I think WinRAR and WinZIP should be classed as bloatware.

one of the key names is too long - easiest fix is to simply reduce the GUI scale. Honestly I cannot understand why some people use the default auto-scale at 1080p or higher, it makes the GUI way too "large" while making the effective GUI size so small.

no problem, just make sure you use the correct subforum. you've posted in the java edition subforum when you should have posted in the bedrock edition subforum.

if all else fails a simple resource pack could do this.

that's not a java edition feature AFAIK, that's a bedrock feature called the "paper doll", and you can disable it in the options screen
.

Actually, it's more about how well your system can manage RAM - a high RAM speed coupled with a CPU with enough cores to have one dedicated to just memory management can make a world of difference. Won't increase overall FPS by too much but it will help eliminate the stuttering. The problem is most people don't even take RAM speed into consideration, and when the game is allocating something crazy like 128mb+ per second (that's 1 GB every 8 seconds!) fast RAM is a must.

don't try to move blocks with tile entities through portals. it seems to be an issue with the portal gun mod where it's not type-checking the tile entity at it's position when the tile entity has already been replaced somehow.

it's almost definitely a mixture of fire (for the flammable blocks) and endermen (for the grass)

maybe something with shulker boxes? IDK, do those count as chests?

people saying this like it's microsoft's decision. news flash: this was a Mojang decision, Microsoft had nothing to do with it. Stop fueling the "MS wants to kill of JE" fake news train.

it's faster to just open to LAN with cheats allowed, which bypasses the world's cheats setting altogether.

you so clearly do not understand how filesystems work at all. any game, even one with cloud saves, can have it's save file corrupted by a power failure. No exceptions. The only way to prevent total loss in such a scenario is to maintain save backups - many games do this automatically, and it's recommended you do this manually to minecraft worlds. Minecraft worlds don't backup automatically because they can simply be too large to effectively do so.

as someone who has played with 24GB of allocated memory, the idea that more memory is bad is only true to an extent - if you can allocate enough RAM (and your RAM is fast enough) you can actually overcome the GC entirely (as in almost all garbage data gets cleaned by the collector's typical background sweeps)

I didn't know they removed that feature. strange thing to remove.

apart from the aformentioned "different instance directories" (which is the best solution) you can also make sub-folders inside the mods folder where the folder name is the minecraft version (I.E. "mods/1.8.9" for 1.8.9 mods, "mods/1.16.3" for 1.16.3 mods, ect.)
