I believe we have whole numbers and decimals to seperate a digit (a solid, dividable number) from a fraction of a number (can only be divided into more decimals)

Once more, I will state that if you are poor, then that is too much for you.

I'm not arguing poor vs rich, I don't know what you are getting at. Mayhaps you believe me to be poor?

I am arguing price. No one said it was too much, I am saying that if you are willing to blow cash on $60 a game, you might as well get a pc, which in the long run is cheaper.

    Quote from xBm

I'm rather positive your avatar defines your face about the price.

I am rather positive that the only face defining avatar on the minecraft forums is yours.

Playstation Plus is not on the same level as Xbox Live. It's cheaper, and unneccesary.

Games cost the same on console and PC, but after getting old the prices fluctuate wildly.

For example, battlefield bad company 2 is $54 on amazon for the xbox. For the pc, it is $20.

    BFBC2 is still really popular.

PC, because it's not an oversimplified machine. You can do more than just run games.

Also, accuracy is so much better for FPS with PC, even though precision is decreased. It's a worthy trade.

How is precision decreased. Precision and accuracy are almost the same.

If you're poor, then yes, they are.

How? 300 dollars + 60 dollars a game, where I can get a pc for 600 dollars for 20 dollars or less a game. Add in psn+ and xbox live also.

[email protected] saying consoles are expensive.

    They are.
    Quote from eoinrade

Well you obviously paid for a game and controller with it or something.

And consoles are dirt cheap compared to a PC that would play the same games.

In the long run they cost more, short term, they are definitely cheaper.

Blu-ray is that popular, and bluetooth needs an extra whatchamicallit. Thing.

Blu ray is not popular. How many homes do you think have blu ray? If it was popular, corporations wouldn't still be pushing it.

Bluetooth does not need a whatchamicallit. You need to buy a bluetooth device such as a microphone, which you plug into a usb port.

PCs are more moddable, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

With consoles, you get the features you pay for and that's it. No more, no less.

With PCs, you *can* upgrade your stuff, but getting a PC on par with a console on certain aspects you have to pump out the cash, like a Blu-Ray drive or bluetooth.

Who uses either? Bluetooth is a gimmick and blu ray isnt that popular.

Also, what are you talking about? Bluetooth is fully supported by the windows operating system.

You can build a computer that will be cheaper in the long run compared to consoles.

    Emulate games.
    Cheaper games.
    Mouse, more accurate aiming.
Real 1080p, not upscaled 720p like on a console.
    Internet.
    Modding.
    Image manipulators.
    Text document editors.
    Messengers.

    Need I say more?

posted a message on 1.9pre 100% CPU usage bug FIXED in 1.9pre5
    Quote from Umcookies

To add credit against your post, minecraft is single threaded which means it can only use 1 core of your i7. Thus having a shitty i7 with a low clock speed will ultimately get out performed in minecraft by an old higher clocked CPU. ( This means a HIGH clocked single core cpu could actually out perform an i7 with a much lower clock rate )

And i didn't mean to double post, sorry about that -.-

I hate to break it to you, but it won't. A first generation i7 has a much higher IPC than say a pentium d. A 3ghz pentium d will still get slapped in the face by a 2 ghz i7. They don't even clock i7's that low, so you are completely wrong anyway.
    Quote from BoneZ

**BUZZ!!!** Wrong answer. Minecraft gets sent out amongst all 4 of my cores pretty evenly. Must be an Intel thing if programs are only using 1 core. Minecraft uses all 4 of my cores on my AMD machines.

nope, your wrong. That is windows evening the load onto all of the cores, silly goose.
    Quote from Deadalready

According to the details I read by Optifog's developer, Minecraft shouldn't use more than 256kb of ram. Yet somehow it slowly keeps eating more and more ram until on some system it'll max out and lag/lower fps/shuts down games.

Also if Jeb says there's a problem, then maybe his word is more trustworthy than most of ours here.

Edit: did they fix that problem with exp orbs lagging servers to death?

kilobytes of ram? You and the optifog developer are out of your minds.

i for one have never had minecraft crash, i must have a special copy.
