Custom coloured lighting is not simple to create. It would require quite a few rewrites of the render engine to do, or a very clever way of manipulating the existing lighting system to allow you to "inject" the individual RGB colour values into the integer used to define the light level. A coloured lighting mod exists already, but it is unstable.
Well I don't mean have the color of glow around the torch/glowstone colorful. I know that would be very hard to code, though it would be awesome if that was possible.
I just want a bunch of torches different colored at the tip so I can make mines and houses look a little better with more than just a single bland color of torch.
So, trying to defeat the Twilight Lich on a SMP server with more than about 150 ping is completely impossible. It's taken me a little over 30 minutes to get the lich to 2 shields because, firstly, the lich doesn't fire at the player, it fires at the ground about 5 blocks in front of the player, and secondly, the missiles are all but impossible to actually hit because of the client/server desync. Which leaves me with frozen TF progression.
Why do people think that encounters that rely on reflecting missiles back at an enemy are at all a good idea with a game that has such ****ty net code?
Messed around with this mod a bit, infact this mod got me into minecraft mods.
Would be awesome if you could get a little pet clay dude to follow you around and help you out.
I know its made to have a war between all the colors but it'd be cool.
Maybe you could even give some clay dudes axes or picks and they could get their own resources to make a house by cutting a tree or getting some cobblestone or something, that'd be awesome.
but... another thing, someone would have to add something else. red torch = red light blue torch = blue light etc. and coloured glowstone as well!
and flashlight with different colours! and crafting is this:brick equals blackore block found at iron rarity and gold is glowstone:
and is flashlight and is any dye: makes red/blue/yellow etc. flashlight. and a rainbow glowstone boss with 100 HP!
Yeah the light would be cool and there is already a mod for colored glowstone but it would be sick to make a colored glowstone dungeon area that had a rainbow glowstone boss.
Then the fact you can put fireflies on your outworld house for looks is awesome.
The only downside was that I somehow got to the middle of the highlands without realizing its a locked zone and it took me hours upon hours to get my gear back after I died.
I can't explain this very well but I was wondering how do people have a minecraft set up with a bunch of mods and stuff but when they want to do a mod showcase they can have only one mod active in the game.
Or people on youtube will have a bunch of worlds on one minecraft then the nexttime they do a mod show case the only world save in the game is the one they just made for the showcase, how do people keep the other saves but make an entirely new minecraft?
I'm have no clue how to code and make mods and wouldn't be able to learn with my time schedule.
I just was wondering if there is or if anyone could make a mod to change the colors of the light from torches just for look purposes only.
I seen a different color one in aether craft but I want a mod with a bunch of different colors if it's possible.
Now for the jukeboxes I want one with multi disc options because I made a bunch of discs from my own music on Itunes and it sucks having to get a new disc every song.

I love the trophy system, reminds me of Trove.
