posted a message on Why do you like Minecraft?

I'm 9.Minecraft is such a relaxing and mystical game, I just had to try playing it,and now look at me, making secret rooms in ocean monuments and refurbishing dusty mineshafts.Minecraft has taught me so much and its possible lore and blocky charm just got me in love.I got it for my birthday a couple years ago.

posted a message on Add castle ruins

It's a good idea, but ruins and ruins alone would kinda *cough* ruin the medieval vibe of the game.Active castles would seem like villages. Some battered ,others still alive. If we just had ruins,it would feel so dreary and isolated.Armed guard villagers guarding turrets, animals barking and meowing, and the ringing of tower bells would add someplace lively and almost like home for players to stay and live happily, with crocodile mobs guarding a moat and even stables. The villagers would finally get their woodland mansion, styled and made grandly just for them. : D

    Frogs

I just think that adding frogs alongside axolotls will bring a lot more life to the lush caves. The point of the lush caves is that they are supposed to be filled with life, and the plants really help with that, but if you can only find 1 kind of animal there, it kind of ruins it. It just seems weird that there are all sorts of cool and extraordinary plants, but only 1 animal. The new animal doesn't need to be a frog, but I think that frogs would be a really good fit. Also,it would be adorable to see frogs hopping around and hanging out with the axolotls.

I am totally agreeing with you there.

posted a message on wardens should drop clay so that we can have clay farms and renewable brick sources

It just doesn't seem like a good idea-if they drop anything,it should be something that clicks with the warden's appearance or behavior.Maybe it could drop soul sand or sculk?

posted a message on Baby skeletons!

With the colour, it will be super annoying in caves because the colour is close to stone, and they'll be tiny. Yes, the first time you think about it, it seems to be a good idea, but skeletons like that will make players upset. And because of their speed, it will be impossible to approach them and without a projectile weapon, they will be impossible to beat.

    Definitely not a good idea.

posted a message on 1.17 - 1.18 Split; Is Mojang telling us everything?

It is taking them so long for a reason, I think.New Cave updates will make caves much bigger. The Pretty Scary Update, for the Nether, was back then,at a simpler time, just loads of netherrack and maybe a Blaze bridge or Nether fortress.Caves have TONS more stuff,so designing and generating them will be tough.

posted a message on What if the new warden mob allows players a way to interact with souls in some way?
    Quote from eiche_brutalnext

Personally I am ok with having magic elements and items. Using souls however sounds like necromancy or dark wizardry.

A soul is very important and should be handled with care.

True. The Warden is not the only soul-related mob,or the only magic related mob.Witches,Evokers, and Vexes are all soul-related and magic-related,so they should have something to do with it too.

    Quote from Puffy_Pony»

I think any "soul"-based content should primarily come from the Nether.

Souls in the Nether make sense, considering the eerie Soul Sand and Soul Soil that thrives there.

    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

Since Minecraft is a sandbox game, I guess it would make more sense that we make our own story out of it.

The closest thing to Yahweh in Minecraft would be Herobrine, and Herobrine is just made up.

But we could use it for a story I guess, or something similar to it.

We're getting Deepslate soon, and candles, so building altars would be a good idea.

Altars already exist in Woodland Mansions, but souls could have something to do with that too.
    Quote from MattCorps»

Potions aren't story related, the warden won't change too much, and Minecraft is an extremely open-ended game. I just feel like we don't have anything else related to souls, and in gameplay we're not told that we're dealing with them. I just want to see something more done with souls.

Agreed. However,I made my point that there are SOME soul-related mobs.

    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

To make use of potions or enchantments in Minecraft doesn't mean you need to be a full-time wizard,

potions and enchantments just exist in the game for the sake of gameplay.

The Warden isn't going to change this, it's just there in the dark waiting to ambush you.

It indeed is.It would be amazing if we got all the awesome people at Mojang onto here so they can see what we've came up with.

    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

In mythology, souls aren't the only source of magic.

Usually it is the evil wizards or demons who use others souls that they stole.

I don't recall souls being a large contributing to factor.

The Nether doesn't follow the general interpretation of the afterlife. the underworld is the destination of souls of the dead.

As for the Warden, what would the Warden have to do with any of this? it's a monster that lurks in the darkness in the Overworld caves, it doesn't have any mystical powers to speak of, and it is blind.

Perhaps we could have a mechanic where we free souls trapped inside soul sand in exchange for XP, but only good ones.

if bad souls are released, they spawn hostile mobs which you then have to kill.

True.I'm beginning to think we got ahold of an idea of (maybe) Minecraft lore.

    Quote from MattCorps»

In the woodland mansion there's a statue with a lapis block. That tells us that they've imbedded lapis into people. We know that lapis has magical properties because we use lapis in enchanting. So, it seems that some group was experimenting. We can also find jails inside of woodland mansions. They also have mock builds as if they don't know how to build it themselves.

Last point, the endermen. This strange creature has some interesting behaviors. Firstly, it is the only mob in the game that is able to pick up and place blocks. But, have you ever noticed what they sound like? They actually speak english. Now, it's very broken, but it's english. The main phrase they repeat is, "Look for the eye." That alone tells us they're trying to get us to go to the end portal.

So as you can see, there are elements of things that have happened within the world, but it is very vague.

Clearly the workers at the Minecraft Offices are telling us something. But how does all this connect? Is the message clear and simple?Or does it involve other mobs and easter eggs, like why they put in that The Shining easter egg hack, and why piglins pore over gold, and what the story is of the haunting discs 11 and 13?
