Yes, unfortunately, this won't stop new posts, but minecraft.net is down for all of us, no need to complain, sites do this every once in a while.
NOTE: This server is only compatible with Beta 1.4. I can upgrade as soon as my hosting company updates.
Hi, I'm Fauxm, I own a Minecraft server and want people to join it. I figured that this is a good way to do so. It's a dedicated server with 1GB of RAM and 18 player slots, it's hosted in the USA and lag free most of the time. It's semi-survival, which means it has hostile mobs, but admins will spawn items for an in-game cost of an X amount of coins per item, depending on the item. It's still getting set up, so the permissions are a bit off, if you can't use certain commands, just ask me. Also, be sure to read the rules at the spawn.

Trusted - Color; Blue. This is someone who has played a lot on the server. They can use all of those restricted blocks, and that's it.
Veteran - Color; Dark teal. This is someone who has played a lot on the server and for a while. They can use the WorldEdit QuickPort commands,(the compass) as well as protect land.
Moderator - Color; Purple. This is someone that has played on the server for a really long time. These people help keep the server in line and can ban, kick, tp, tphere, and use superpick.
Admin - Color; Light green. These are people that I know and trust. They have the same job as moderators, but can use WorldEdit, and spawn items.
SuperAdmin - Color; Red. This is a special rank that I only had out to people that I have known for a while. They have access to every command.
Owner - Color; Dark grey. This is me, Fauxm. I can use the same commands as the SuperAdmin rank, which is all of them.
I had the same problem in a NEW world. So more evidence my favorite world is not corrupted.

I installed MCedit and Tagmann's Squid Spawner and the Conversion Utility for McRegion (so that MCedit can read my World)
Well, I really don't know, then, I hope you find the answer. Also, SIngle player commands can spawn squids. /spawn squid ammount (Type /spawn 49 ammount for lulz)
Opened a new version about an hour ago (7:25 pm Pacific time Friday Jan 21) and not only is my map gone, there's no hotbar! and no way to access the inventory! I can walk around and stuff, but that's it. Yikes!
Go to your .minecraft folder and delete the "bin" and "resources" folders. Then let Minecraft re-install. Tell me if this works.

I know its a longshot, but can anyone guess which one (or Combo) killed my Redstone Dust?
The only mods that I know work with redstone are Single player commands and McRegion. Those are the only two mods I use, you can keep those. What was the most recent mod you installed?
Someone did that on my favorite SMP server, the server is down now, so I can't post screenshots. (Don't ask for the IP, the owner doesn't like people telling the IP.)
Post some screens from multiple angles, I may be able to help.
EDIT: I reread your post, is the wire facing the dispenser, or running past it? Think of it like this: is a dispenser, and | and _ are the wires.
The new launcher isn't finished yet. My guess is that it will be out sometime next week. I, personally, like it, if you don't like the upper half, then simply ignore it.
