Steps to get the above working with Vanilla launcher:

    1. Install Optifine.
    2. Install LiteLoader, extending from Optifine profile
    3. Put mod_voxelMap_1.3.2_for_1.8.litemod in Mods directory
    4. Profit.

Load Optifine with Liteloader? You really should read up on some of the instructions mod authors are leaving, just laying around.

Do mind that if you're talking about 1.8 then it's pretty much impossible right now. Almost everything is early beta at most and not exactly made to be compatible. I.e. Optifine probably won't work with anything else no matter what you do.

EDIT: Or not. I forgot sp614x added compatibility with other tweaks some time ago to 1.8

I tried putting Optifine in the mod folder, and thats all LiteLoader says to do.
Plus, Optifine has nothing about LiteLoader. Only - wait for it - MagicLauncher :P

You don't. Magic Launcher is outdated like hell and doesn't support the required functionality to run latest Liteloader normally (inheritance).

Okay. Well is there a way for me to use Optifine and Liteloader (plus voxel map) right now?

I got Voxel Map and Liteloader working but not Optifine

I've created a version 1.4.1, which adds some small, but useful changes to the map.

-Fixes the spawning (However, you might still spawn not in the spawn room, which can be solved. Details in Note #1)

-Once you teleport to your starting area. your spawn is set there.

-Once you teleport to your starting area, your player # and wool color is assigned.

-In the TAB menu, your name will be your wool color.

-In chat, your name will be your will color.

-In the TAB menu, there is now a death counter.

I will publish it as soon as i can test it in multiplayer :)

A lot of ._ updates have worked with the prior version, actually.
Not sure about the stupid number of the 1.7's, but the 1.6's all did, and a few before those.

    Welcome to..
King Of The Ladder (PLUS) v1.4
    A minigame by FaceTheContrast

    *
What is King Of The Ladder (PLUS)?
King Of The Ladder is a classic minigame involving multiple players fighting to get to the top of the ladder, and hold it for as long as possible. (PLUS) enhances on that, by taking Multiplybyzer0's original King Of The Ladder map. that I am a huge fan of, and have played countless times. If you aren't interested in all of the bonus features of (PLUS), i strongly suggest taking a look at that map! However, i'm pretty sure that you'll be satisfied with (PLUS.) :D
So, what's the difference you ask?
I went ahead and changed the map heavily. The only thing from the original that is the same is the ladder, and the starting areas. (Mostly.) The ladder is now larger, spanning from the top of the world to the very bottom of the world, and the starting areas now have many more resources in them to make the minigame as hectic and fun as possible.
There are also now chests littered around the map, some team-specific (marked by wool colors), and some available for whoever gets to them first. Alongside that, many features, such as toggleable lava flows, mini-arenas, and potions have been implemented. Lastly, there are plenty of secrets for you and your friends to discover. Can you find them all? ;)
I created this map about a year ago, updating it every few months, and with the 1.4 update. i have decided to release the map to the forums, in hopes that you get as much pleasure out of it as I, and my friends, have and will continue to do.
    Enjoy!

    Rules
    1) PVP is recommended. Without it, the map is much less fun.
    2) Command blocks MUST be enabled.
    3) A host must go into the host room and enable the settings, as well as read the books to yourself and the players.
    4) You can destroy and place blocks as you please. No limits, other than not blowing up the starting areas.
    5) Set an end time. While it may seem long, I prefer a 20 minute game, so set an end time that is 20 minutes from when you start. (5:20 PM if you start at 5 PM). More info is found in the side notes section. (Note #2). You and your players can decide how long you'd like it, however. c:
    6) No using commands to get to the top of the ladder!
    7) Only open chests of your wool color/player # (or marked with a white wool, named ANYONE. Or entirely unmarked.)

How Do I Get The Map?
    Simply download it below.
To install it into your server, extract the world folder from the zip archive, and move it into your server folder. Make sure to rename it to whatever world name is specified in the properties folder. (Default is "world".) If you need more info, there are tutorials online. :)
If you want to download it into single player first, for whatever reason, such as checking it out to see if you want to play it with your friends (or to cheat and try and find the secrets.), extract the file from the zip archive, and move it into the "saves" folder, inside of the ".minecraft" folder.

    Side Notes
    1) If you do not spawn at the correct point, do the command "/tp player 58 66 35". Step on the pressure plates, and you'll set the spawn inside for all players logged in.
    2) In the original map, there was a redstone timer in place. While it was functional and fun, I found that the games were too short. Thus, the timer was removed and something much cooler was added to that spot. However, you must now set an end time. For example, if you want a 20 minute game, you'd set the end time at 5:20, if you started at 5 PM. So whoever is at the top of the map at 5:20 wins! Just set an alarm/timer, or watch the clock. It's much easier than it sounds, trust me :)
    3) This map is designed for 4 people. It works functionally with more, but there is only gear and supplies for 1 person per team.
    4) I tried contacting Multiplybyzer0, for permission to use his map. However, I never got a response, and he's been inactive for over 2 years. This is part of the reason why I never bothered to publish the map.On the off chance that he sees this, and has a problem, he and I can discuss it :)
    5) Sorry for the weird spacing. Minecraft Forums formatting is dumb sometimes.

posted a message on Some advice with a build
Hello! Im really new to building computers, and my friend suggested i do this, so i decided to make a build based off of the Logical Increments website. Its worked well, except that i have a few fields left blank that im not sure what to put for. The guideline im using is http://www.logicalincrements.com/, the "Superb" section.

Id like to keep the build under 800 dollars if possible.

    http://pcpartpicker.com/user/FTContrast/saved/prZWGX

What do i do for the CPU Cooler? On this website there is no section for this, so...?

Now what about memory and storage? This confuses me. I know that i want to have at least 1tb. But I honestly just dont know whats going on in this section, so if anyone can tell me whats up with that that would be great.

Power supply, same thing as above.

Those are the only issues im having, but if anyone can look over the build and tell me any potential issues (like compatibility problems) that would be great.

Okay all that has been sorted out. Any compatibility issues or otherwise?

Okay, well I think im gonna go with your idea. Despite the arguing, you seem to know what you're talking about and actually gave me a build.
Good you possibly give me a maximum you think this could run? Minecraft on decent settings, 30 frames? Max settings, 50 frames, skyrim ultra graphics 60 frames? You get the idea. :P
Also, last think i want to ask. A friend of mine told me about a service where you can get a computer sent to you already built. Any idea what she was talking about? I know its easy to build a computer, but its still soemthing i want to look in to.

posted a message on Easiest Computer?
A bit of background; A few months ago, my laptop broke. This laptop was, well, terrible. I'm not good at saving money, so i've been stuck with it for awhile. I was trying to get a new computer, but as stated, my monthly income is extremely small, like way worse than minimum wage, so yeah.

Anyways, being without a computer sucks. BUT, during a bit of storage hunting, i found my old desktop. I hooked it up and have had it going for a week or so now. So yay, i have a computer! :D

BUT.. It's honestly a step down. Basic applications are fairly slow, games are pretty much impossible - even flash games. So i really need a new computer. Since my income is so small, saving for a really nice computer isnt exactly plausible at the moment. I need a temporary computer between now and when i have a job and can THEN get the monster PC ive always dreamed of.

So, anyone care to help me find either a build or a already built computer they can? I want this to be as cheap as humanely possible while still being reliable, and also able to run Minecraft on at least 30 frames, decent settings, no lag whatsoever. I use this as my standard because Minecraft is what i spend most of my gaming time doing. With that, most other games i dont need. They'd be nice, but still. (Although im sure a computer like this can run other games fairly decent too, at least some.) Other reason is that if it can do this, it can do basic things well too.

That's it! I was hoping to not have to spend more than 300$, but thats PROBABLY unrealistic, being that I know nothing about the computer economy. So try and keep it there, but if it needs to go over fine, just try and keep it as low as possible.

    Thanks guys c:
