This is likely already fixed with doors, but I haven't looked at the trapdoor/hatches yet. As long it doesn't cause other problems with redstone power I'll leave it alone.
This is most likely a problem with ID Resolver and another mod. Some mods have to be careful to remain compatible with ID Resolver. I know this because BetterBlocks used to have problems.
Unfortunately this incompatibility tends to look like it's being caused by another mod all together. If you can trigger the problem with ID Resolver, BetterBlocks, and one other mod I will gladly inform the other mods developer on how to fix the problem. For most mods it's a simple fix for the developer.
I plan to add support for MP ModLoader, after I finish changing some fundamentals of BetterBlocks. However I've been busy with other things lately, and haven't been working much on BetterBlocks.
I'll look into it when I have time.
This is planed for BetterBlocks 4.0. Though it should be easier to use than that.
BetterBlocks doesn't work with SMP at the moment. Is BetterBlocks mentioned in your .minecraft/ModLoader.txt? If it's not then BetterBlocks is probably not installed properly.
I don't have this problem with gates. Have you tried from a clean jar? Does it happen with just BetterBlocks and ModLoader installed?
This sounds like a conflict with another mod that modifies trees. Setting useBetterLogs to false should fix it.
What's your .minecraft/ModLoader.txt say when it crashes?

I get alot of overrides like this:

Probably 100 lines of things like that, with Xie's mod, some overrides of aether and clayman mod.
Near the end I get an error that is probably causing the crash, but im not certain:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 114 is already occupied by XieBlockSeedling@1d318f when adding BetterBlockSlab@a0c73f
I've had a few problems with the farming mod lately.
This mod worked fine with no problems, back in v 1.6, i stopped playing minecraft, and just started playing again.
I re downloaded all my old mods and a few new ones.
First off, hybrid seeds seem to grow pistons, instead of x3 wheat.
My second issue is a few new mods I wanted to DL conflict with this mod, I downloaded a few new ones and it worked until I used Xie's farming mod
Mods I currently have:
Xie's farming mod
Mo' Creatures
Single player commands
Clay soldiers mod - new
Aether - new
TooManyItems
Piston patch - new
* the mods marked with new are new mods I got since 1.6
Some mods I tried downloading that wouldn't work with This mod were
ExtendCraft
BetterBlocks
Seem to get the black screen with Xie's farming mod.
I have deleted and reinstalled only mod loader and this mod, then added Xie and crashed.
I also did mod loader and Xie, tested it, then added this and it crashed.
Anyone else having similar issues with both mods?
I have had a minecraft server for me and my friends for a week or so now, and it worked fine until today. Last time i played it was last night and had no problems. So today when I put it up my friends couldn't connect, and when I tryed to join it after 20 seconds it said " Failed to connect to server Connection timed out:connect"
I tryed stopping and starting up the server mutiple times, and there was no update when i loaded minecraft so I dont know whats wrong
I set up my own server and i keep getting snow levels, i deleted all the server stuff 3 times and re downloaded the server files but keep getting snow. is there a way to get rid of the snow? or at least a way to restart the server completely without re downloading the server files?
