posted a message on Limiting Map Size
Is there a way to limit the map size? I ask because a user on a server I manage decided to wander in one direction for about a dozen in-game days and now the map is so large in one direction, running c10t to map it is now impossible since it takes HOURS on a quad-core server and eventually just craps out.

I guess I could inject gigantic artificial adminium walls into the game world, but I was just hoping for a server setting or even a CraftBukkit module that would take care of it.

pLEASE UPDATE THE MOD now!!! I made my server yesterday and got 5 friends to help me build my city today, BUT WE CANT BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE THE 0.2.6 SERVER UPDATE OUT! Please put it out immediately! And do i have to redownload the mod to update it once you have updated to .2.6 :Diamond: ? :VV: :VV:
    :tnt:
You should have to be able to pass an IQ test to post here so we could filter some of this crap out :SSSS:

Anyway, off-topic from the "OMG I NEEDS UPDATE" posts: How can we tell if/when we are supposed to update the Save/Reload Plugin? Does that have a dedicated post/thread/forum somewhere?

This update will be great, if and only if...

ALL SINGLE PLAYER FUNCTIONALITY WORKS IN MULTIPLAYER!

At least as far as I and all my Minecraft friends are concerned. The single player is fun but the real draw to Minecraft is to build & survive in such vast and dangerous worlds with my friends.

I really, really, really hope :iapprove: bears that in mind...

30 dollars a month... that is a dollar a day. HELL TO THE NO! Pfft. Honestly. Btw, no need to double post just to quote yourself again and green out the codes.

No, it's a one-time purchase of $21 with NO monthly fee. My bad with the quote tho, that was't supposed to happen :sad.gif:

    There is a free version.

You just don't get 'guild raids' or whatever word they used for it.

I think that was the original plan a year ago but now all players have access to all content, no restrictions. Whenever a large expansion comes out though that will be something you buy to add on. Currently tho, everything that exists in the game is available for the one-time $21 purchase.

While we sadly drool over 16x16 pixel blocks that will inevitably be our future, I and many friends have been spending our time playing a fast-paced FPS game by HiRez Studios, Global Agenda. Ever play Tribes? Yeah, this game has Jetpacks...

There is a free trial and the game is addictive fun if you're into the FPS genre. Checkout all the trailers and in-game videos on the HiRez YouTube Page: http://www.youtube.com/user/HirezStudios

It's $30 with no monthly subscription. You can use any of the codes below at the Global Agenda Store for 30% off :Sheep:

If anyone is thinking of picking up Global Agenda any time soon, this site seems to rotate some 30% off codes:

hate to burst your bubble here mate but, java couldnt handle HD

"HD", in this context, is the 32x32 texture packs that already exist for Minecraft like Mixcraft, SMP's Realistic, etc.

I'll have another update coming some time soon. I'm redoing a lot of blocks I'm not happy with. Been busy lately though, haven't worked on it much.

Did this update happen? Just wondering if I have the latest version since mine is missing at least the Compass and Fishing Rod...

I presume that this (and all texture packs) are client-side only?

i.e. I can't install it on an Alpha SMP and force clients to download the textures... can I? :SSSS:

    -- Update #1 --

Wow SMP, nice work. This pack is how Minecraft SHOULD look :smile.gif: After reading the thread, I figured I'd try it and said to myself, how bad could the random fire blocks be?

lol - my brick house is now Satan's Livingroom. Is the water supposed to be animated in any way? Based on the statement in the OP, I thought there was fire animation on random blocks, water, and lava. I may have misinterpreted...

    -- Update #2 --

The hatchet doesn't look quite right. With a recipe like this:

    :Iron: :Iron: []
    :Iron: :|: []
    [] :|: []

Wouldn't you expect a graphic more like this:

    -- Update #3 --

There is no graphic for the newly added compass. Haven't tested the new fishing rod but I'm guessin that doesn't exist in this pack either...

    Update:

Evidently I must've had llamacraft's bucket fix (ap.class) installed before and when the server updated, I lost the "fix".

    Reapplied it from here: viewtopic.php?f=1012&t=23483

All is back to "normal" :smile.gif:

Is this a confirmed bug on Notch's To-Do list or are buckets working "as intended" in the current SMP?
