I've tried looking in C:\Computer\Program Files\, and I am using a Gateway MA7 laptop, running Windows Vista, and I have never been able to find a Minecraft folder, even after checking elsewhere. I have tried checking the target on the Minecraft.exe shortcut, and unless it is in some kind of odd .zip/.rar format, I can't seem to find any internal data on it.
For me, a good map is a large, open plot of land, near the ocean, with a good underground tunnel below it.
Lots of sand to build Glass with, and lots of water to irrigate with.

Any insight on this?
