Me and my friend are trying to play Minecraft together like we were last week, but for some reason I can't connect to his LAN nor him to mine. One is a desktop one is a laptop both running on Windows 7, and ive gone through both and allowed minecraft through the firewall public and private, tried disabling the firewalls or editing them so it should allow others to connect, but so far none of it has made any difference. We both have the most recent minecraft update and the default program so I can't see what might be wrong other than the router(?) what do I need to do to fix this?
So me and my friend are trying to play together via LAN server. Ive done this before so I expected it to work, but when I open my world to LAN and he tries to connect it says 'connect refused: connect' and same when he makes it and I try to connect. We are both connected to the same router and we have tried using direct connect in LAN servers as well. Port forwarding hasnt changed anything and messing with the firewall I have no clue what to do. If you could please throw some suggestions or advice my way it would help a ton. Please be descriptive as well, I am not the smartest with all of this kind of stuff.
