I use default with a few modifications, as shown here:
I changed glass to a completely clear texture with a white border, made the background of the inventory GUI where your character is rendered dark gray so it contrasts with my hair, reverted the lapis block texture to the pre-1.6 texture (brighter blue without a border) and replaced steve.png with my skin (skin servers were down? I never know unless I see somebody mention it). I actually replaced the textures inside the Minecraft jar so I don't actually even have any resource pack selected (I modded it anyway so I may as well just replace the textures at the same time without the need for a separate file).
I've also previously changed the water texture (I took the texture from another resource pack) but I did not use it for that long.

Still though I don't really want something in the game that causes constant trouble.

Any reason for adding it? Everything in the game should have a use even for decoration. The quicksand you are suggestion just seems like a constant problem. Also the fact that this thread is vague.

This discussion sounds too much like the overworld. No support.

Cybers Survival Journal Entry: 2
Hey Everybody, Let me show you what i have done far since last post.
My Little Island of Paradise:
So I went mining, like, for a really long time, and now there's a very long strip mine under my tiny island. But that time was worth it, as I got a lot of resources from it.
My first diamonds!
Suiting up for the first time:
Wait hold up! We need a name for my friend here, any ideas guys?
Anyway.. Here's all of the stuff I mined
With my new resources and some sticks, I made a diamond pickaxe, then went obsidian mining, for... its obvious by now, a nether portal, here's some pictures of my nether travels:
Then I finally went to the ocean monument, and man it took a lot of work to empty the thing out with only torches, a sword, and some food, but it was worth it.
Off topic: HORSES!
Off topic, The Sequel: Daily News, Pig Sees Family get cooked
Then I started preparing the ocean monument for water removal, or really I made a big ugly looking shape out of cobblestone.
Well that's all for now, but it was a decent amount of progress in my book. Now for that long part where you read words.
Building such a big base will need lots of resources, and lots of quick progress, next thing on the agenda is to build some sort of mob farm around the area, and find a desert to clear out the monument, hopefully finding a village on the way.
The build will mainly be out of andesite, stone, terracotta (clay), and iron blocks, for that "futuristic industrial feel", my favorite building style. but to do that exploring the area is key, i only know a small amount of the world so far, so maps, minecarts, horses, and long hours are probably in my future, so hopefully by next post we get those things done.
What have I done/TLDR:

Now, this was four years ago. This is the story of how I came to absolutely hate creepers. It is also how I found my very first diamonds.
I was mining in a cave and I found these little blue rocks in the walls. This made me very excited and I dug into it immediately and got three diamonds.
My excitement was very soon ended by a creeper that just so happened to be right behind me the whole time. Its explosion knocked me into a very inconvenient pit of lava.
Five minutes later, I needed a new moniter.

Hello Everybody, The names CyberCreeperXD, and here is my Awesome, completionist style survival journal, so corny introductions aside lets get started already
My Plan for this world is to completely take everything over, to control everything and have everything automated, but withought giant ugly looking redstone builds everywhere, everything needs to have its own building that fits in, and everything has to be based around one central building, that can transport me to any part of the world.
I started off near a dark oak forest, with plains crossing through, and a cave right in front of me.
Apparently there was a ravine nearby, awesome!
Rule #2 of minecraft, Punch That Tree! Right after don't dig straight down.
My First Advancements:
Hello Zombie...
Its almost night-time, and I don't have a bed
After skipping the night i had a few problems
The Aftermath
Time to become a sailor, Sailing the seven seas me-hearty!
After a little more recourse gathering and exploring, I managed to find a swampland, nearby happened to get lucky and found a nearby ocean temple
From here I decided to stay, at least for the moment, as an ocean temple has few good uses, and I was looking into building a guardian farm
From here my plan was simple, first, go on a crazy long mining spree, get ores, including diamonds. Then i would go to the nether and go quartz and glowstone mining, from there all i had to do would be to start building basic redstone to survive. And plan to build the most amazing base ever build my minecraftian hands.
Ill give you some more of what i want to build. I call it, The nexus, or the Hub, or whatever ill name it, I could use some suggestions, it would be basically a giant center point for my world, based around player and item transportation. Also a type of "safe haven" for me, and the other mobs that will live with me.
It will have a central storage system and multiple XL size farms, maybe based around a guardian farm or a witch farm, I'm thinking guardian to be honest.
Either way that's about it for now as im short for time, but there's almost a guaranteed chance of me posting again very soon, like 24 hours soon, and im sorry for this being so short but im short on time. Either way i hope you liked the short amount of progress that has passed but there will be a lot more to come in the future.
What have I done?/TLDR

You decide to pull out a flamethrower and burn em all.

Oh my god man, I can't thank you enough for this, it worked! If I met you in real life I'd peel you a $50 and buy you something nice, cause you can't describe the content and thankfulness I am experiencing. You are my favorite human being, no matter the qualities or anything.
Thank you for saving me.

I don't really care what's added, I enjoy the game for what it is and support the devs for whatever comes out. I agree with it all and find nothing exactly "wrong".
1
I installed it too and it worked fine. That's a very good pack you made.

I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC "To Catch a Predator". Now, what are you doing talking with underaged children online, sir?

This seems like a great idea, I like it, but these should be very rare. Like, 1 out of 10 villages does these spawn. And, if you do find them, you must've eaten a bowl of Lucky Charms for breakfast.
I love this idea, SUPPORTED!

Well, I summon Obelisk the Tormentor and destroy the prison.

I think it'd be a nice addition, you'd be able to see the sand moving downward and if you fall in some, you'd get sucked in and suffocate. There are ways to get out such as using shovels and if you spam the jump button enough while stuck in it, but, this can trap mobs and be a technique to use against players in PVP. Any items dropped in will obviously be sucked in and be lost if not recovered quick enough.
2
Lol, that reminds me when I first made flint 'n steel. I tried making a camp fire outside one time near a bunch of trees. I went down to mine some and when I came back everything was burnt to a crisp, including my house.
3
It's like those videos of "Why I Quit Minecraft" that you see on YouTube, and all for the same reason.

"-1984348358409562691" is the seed. It starts off in a savanna, and if you have your render distance up high enough, you'll see a village in the distance, and a giant cave system along with it. I just felt like leaving this here.
