Tonight I finally got enough Divine Shards to build a Divine portal... One idea that helped me mine shards through the Watcher was to make a small room entirely out of obsidian, with windows to shoot through, so the Watcher can't blow me up and I can reuse it by only building a path to it.
Anyway, back to the portal- made a standard portal from Divine Rock, went to light it with the twilight clock aaaaand nothing. just blue flames from the clock. What am I missing?
I need help. My 12yo is freaking out over DivineRPG. I tried to add it to our game but it just doesn't work. We have Forge - needed it to run Thaumcraft. I downloaded DRPG and dropped it into the mods folder. Logged out, logged back in, ran CCleaner, etc. It's i the mods folder but when I log into MC it's not showing up in the mods there.
I know next to nothing about MC. My kid thinks he knows everything. We're trying to strike a balance of him playing mods he likes without decimating the computer. Any help is appreciated.
The most likely cause is that you're using the wrong Forge version. The version you're using is for 1.7.10, right?
DivineRPG actually originally just had the twilight dimensions, which were all skylands. There will still be a skylands dimension, but the others will be made more unique.
Removed features were either unpopular or were replaced with something better.
I've gotten a bit into my private "modpack". I have a few opinions about it and how divineRPG affects the balance.
Pros:
The armors like elementium and manasteel, as I stated before, are finally useful.
Some of the swords like the elementium one, when enchanted, are useful still.
The corrupt enchanter sorta makes a great tool if you don't want to take up alot of space
Removes the need to get the twilight armor, which is optional, but in this case it is grinding torture.
Something as simple as just ExtraTIC and TiC, without AOA installed, is still balanced in terms of crossbow damage. Taking a considerable amount of hits to kill a mob.
The twilight weapons, and sometimes armor, are superior to the Tinkers ones, along with a few other weapons, making it recommended to obtain them and basing the modpack more around divineRPG. Same goes with the tools although.
Mobs deal a decent amount of damage in some armors, allowing oneself to have a bit of challenge still.
The end-tier mobs deal a larger amount of damage when in armor like elementium, recommending you to use a much better one such as terrasteel. In this case, mortum is challenging still.
Some of the thaumcraft mobs, and botania's gaia guardian are hard due to the armor. Requiring you to use mithril, mortum, halite, terrasteel, thaumium fortress, ichorium (awakened or not), and elementium (If it is the easier version).
Mixed:
Metallurgy armor, but I might let this pass because it IS challenging to obtain.
Cons:
Some of the botania accessories make you much harder to kill.
GRINDING_TORTURE.MP3
BIOME_ID_ERROR.MP3 (Well, not ALOT of them).
I can just cheat items into vethea by storing them into a knapsack, allowing me to kill the bosses, do the same process, and have the vethea items in the overworld.
Some structures include the vanilla armor, which is not the modified version.
Now to rate divineRPG's pros and cons myself after experiencing some of this.
Pros:
Goes well with a few mods to help the player progress
The game doesn't automatically stuff overworld mobs down the player's throat like AOA. Meaning the start is much easier itself.
Some of the overworld vanilla mobs are still dangerous.
The divineRPG mobs are fairly challenging.
The bosses are quite simple, meaning they aren't as intensive are AOA's. This isn't bad, but some of them are quite fun due to this.
Coris are a thing, allowing me to make the "Cori in the house" joke.
Cons:
Some of the mobs are too powerful, like wildfires, due to their constant arrow barrage.
The grinding itself is OK, but the fact that a set of eden armor requires 504 dravite fragments/souls makes it worse. This goes for the rest of the twilight sets.
A few ID errors. But then again, this mod is large and it was my choice to install a few extra mods to it.
Some mods can exploit a few things in this mod, meaning you can do something such as bring items into and from vethea.
My final rating: It's actually sorta really good/10
Even though it does have ID errors and crap. The mobs themselves are quite challenging and slightly creative, along with the fact it makes some other mod items useful due to the nerfing of vanilla armor.
I've gotten a bit into my private "modpack". I have a few opinions about it and how divineRPG affects the balance.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely take this into account for future versions.
Hello. Can I have permission to use this in a private modpack I'm making? I understand I need to link back to this thread as the source of DRPG. Thank you.
The gameplay is VERY different, despite the general theme being the same (dimensions and exploration). DRPG is more about grinding common drops than getting rare drops, and has much more linear progression than AoA. Overall, the gear is less powerful, but has far more (if not infinite) durability.
For some reason when I play a mod my game crashes after Shutting down internal server message. It stays there until I close minecraft.

You stayed on a >16 chunk render distance from 1.8.

Never gotten a report of this before. Screenshot?

That's been planned for a while but never implemented. It was meant to be a machine that turns arcanium into experience bottles.

Yes, but you must link back here. You may not host downloads yourself, you have to link here for downloads.

You can change biome IDs in the config.

Go ahead.
@Zanybrainy2003: No, you don't have to.

Yes, it should.
0
It doesn't use the vanilla armor point system. The sum of the damage reduction for every piece is 83%.
0
Those were never announced. They won't be coming.
0
That's odd. The asterisk next to the download link is a direct link.

Post a full crash report.

Sure, but it's a bad broken mod.
