It's actually the controls most of them aren't a fan of. It's a small server but it was a large majority of them that asked me to remove it from the pack because of the controls. However, they all love the content. Just not the combat.
Make the sword skills and content modular. While I enjoy both, my players made me take it off the server because they didn't like it. You (and RedMajora) have better content than other zelda mods. It's just the sword skills that didn't really sit well. And that kinda sucked because I really enjoy it in my SSP.
Which version of the joypad mod are you using? What OS are you on? Here are some things you can try if you haven't already. 1) See if the problem is the same on another joypad. 2) If you have other mods installed, try removing them and see if the joypad mod works by itself. Then add them back in to see which one may be causing a problem. 3) Try an earlier build and see if I broke something in the newer one. However I test using Xbox 360 joypads and I didn't find any issues such as you mention. Earlier builds 1.7.2.07pre: Link Removed 1.6.4.07pre: Link Removed
Okay. It seems to be compatibility with some mod I have installed. I'll go through and figure it out and report back.
Also is there a way to disable outputting to console? It's pretty verbose.
Try adjusting the sensitivity slider lower. You might need to first disable the joypad, adjust the sensitivity and then reenable it. In 1.6.4 the slider is in the menu prior to controls. In 1.7.2 the slider is in the controls menu.
I've done that. All that does is increase the delay in responding to input. Still jumps like crazy after that.
for some reason I can't calibrate my 360 controller. It is too sensitive by default to use. I can look at the ground or the sky and nothing in between.
Love the fact that you have FTB and Tekkit instructions. Sharing is caring friend.
You know what would be awesome, the ability to actually see the villagers in the tube. Like in all those mad science movies.
I want a giant cryochamber full of tubes that have frozen villagers in them.

That made it harder to see the bottom, which is good. However, the water itself is still pretty much invisible. Unless there's light reflecting off of it, it looks like a world hole.

Edit: Upon further investigation, the problem is with optifine. I'm using UD3.
