I do not like the teleporting idea.
I do, however, enjoy the idea of a creepy mob that isn't entirely tangible that stalks you.
It would make everyone paranoid :tongue.gif:

PLEASE SNIP THE IMAGES NEXT TIME D:

Thanks a lot :biggrin.gif: I'm so glad you will try to make them.
Also, here are a few other suggestions from one of my topics. I removed two that would better fit the Nether and are probably too hard to code; if you could only make three, please do the Scuttler, Bat, and Screech.

    Quote from Equeon »

    :Spider: Scuttler
This giant trilobite-like critter spends its time lurking in those underground pools of water. It's immune to drowning, and while submerged it will not make any sound. When the player gets within 3 blocks of the water, it will climb out of the water to attack him.

    Size: Pig Size
Health: 20 health (the health of any normal monster)
Attack Damage: 1 1/2 heart on Hard (1/2 heart on Easy, etc.)
Rarity: Common in flooded caves, rare anywhere else, spawns in water in groups of 2 or 3
Drops: Shell piece that can be used as a helmet, or a leg which can be cooked and eaten.
    Speed: 75% of player's speed.

    :SSSS: Sludge
The Sludge is a disgusting, slug-like monster that spreads a goo like liquid everywhere. This goo will slow the player down like Soul Sand, and since the sludge does not directly attack the player, it's more of an annoyance. If there are other monsters around, then you will be vulnerable to their attacks.
The goo wears off after three minutes of in-game time. It can be picked up with a bucket, and when re-placed by the player, it will never disappear.

    Size: Cow Size
    Health: 15 health
Attack Damage: 1 heart on Hard if bumped into
Rarity: Uncommon in flooded caves, not found anywhere else, spawns on damp stone (2-5 blocks away from water)
    Drops: Nothing.
    Speed: 10% of player's speed.

    :Spider: Glow Grub
These strange glowing grubs spawn on walls and ceilings, lighting up the caves. They can be killed for a Grub Pellet, which acts as an alternative to coal in making torches.

Size: Chicken Size, but 2 blocks long.
    Health: 2 health
Attack Damage: N / A: Does not attack the player
Rarity: Rare in flooded caves, uncommon anywhere else, spawns on stone on the ceiling or walls in groups of 3 or 5
    Drops: Grub Pellet
Speed: Does not move around much, but player's speed.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mob Suggestions that aren't mine. I do not take credit for any of the following suggestions, or images.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    :Pig: Bat, suggested by Daveyx0
These cave creatures are not exclusive to the flooded caves, but they would certainly add some atmosphere.

    Size: Chicken's size
    Health: 2 health
Attack Damage: N / A: Does not attack player
    Rarity: common in most caves
    Drops: 1-2 Flint
Speed: 200% player's speed. They're supposed to be able to fly fast.

:Skeleton: Screech, suggested by Mr Torb
This creature only spawns in complete darkness. (darkness level of 0.) When it spies the player, it will let out a single screech and charge towards him.

    Size: Player's size
    Health: 10 health
Attack Damage: 2 1/2 hearts on Hard
Rarity: Rare in flooded caves, very rare anywhere else, spawns alone on regular stone.
    Drops: Nothing
    Speed: 120% player's speed.

    ]" title="-<->" /> Whisp, suggested by Firehazurd
Small glowing creatures that flit about underwater.

Size: 10 whisps can fit in a single block.
    Health: 1 health
Attack Damage: N / A: Does not attack the player
Rarity: Spawns in groups of 5-10 rarely in flooded caves or deep in the ocean.
Drops: Lumin-essence, can be crafted into a torch that works underwater.
Speed: 200% player speed, to make them hard to catch.

No one forces you to use peaceful mode, if you don't like it don't use it.

    I HATE this argument.

I love this argument. It makes sense. Just because you don't like peaceful doesn't mean I don't like sometimes building for building's sake. Or that I want two nights safe so I can finish building my big-ass castle without a break. Just 'cuz you think it's cheap doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy switching to peaceful on our main map.

I think the Mojang team should add the TooManyItems mod into the game.

It doesn't matter if it's a cheat and disables the purpose of some gameplay, nowhere does the game say "Survival." It's a sandbox game, let the people do what they want! If you don't like an easily accessible in-game inventory editor, don't use it!

:Sheep: ATTENTION SIR! INCOMING SUGGESTION STORM!
:Pig: DON'T JUST STAND THERE BILLY! ACTIVATE THE MAIN SHIELDS!
:Notch: NOOO! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!

    Penguin

Passive mob. It spawns in groups in the arctic biomes. They can slide around on their bellies and be tamed with fish!
Has 5 health (regular animal health)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Rhino

Territorial mob. Spawns alone or in packs of 3 on savanna biomes, and attacks you if you stay near it for too long (check out the Neko code from 1.3 - they have made a perfect "territorial" behavior.
When it attacks, it backs up for a bit and then CHARGES at the player. When charging, it's not affected by normal weapon knockback, although it can still be hurt! If it hits, it does 5 hearts of damage! If it hits any sort of block while charging, it will become stunned for 2 seconds (stars fly around its head) and you can hit it for double damage.
The Rhino has 30 health to make it a very strong mob. (Regular mobs have 20 health)
It drops Ivory Horns, which can be placed for decoration or used to make a sword
or 0-2 pieces of Rhino Pelt, which is as strong as iron and has twice the durability.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Stingray

Neutral mob. They spawn in deep ocean water, but float up to 1 or 2 blocks beneath the surface. They mostly just swim around, but you can walk on their backs. Perhaps if you hook up a pork chop to a fishing rod, and then stand on one and cast the rod, it would follow in the direction of the bobber. This could allow some pretty neat water transportation! They have 10 hearts and do 2 damage.

Two pictures of stingrays, one for the pattern, another for the intended scale.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Vulture

Semi- aggressive mob. Spawns in desert biomes, in groups of 2-5. They constantly circle around, about 30 blocks up in the air. If any mob has 3 or less hearts left, they will swoop down to finish it off.
You can shoot these down for Feathers or Black Feathers, which make faster and deadlier arrows.
(If you can make it so when they are hit, a particle effect of feathers fly out, that would be awesome!)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Springsnake

This is a small creature made up of 3 or 4 moving body segments that are like the Desert Lizard's tail, giving it the illusion of slithering without coding any special movements.
When it sees the player (up to 20 blocks away) it coils itself like a spring, then releases and flies towards him.
It does 3 damage, and can be killed with 3 punches as well. It spawns on leaves (1 kind) or deep in caves (a different kind.)

Imagine something that generally resembles the first picture, and when it sees you it coils like the second picture and springs towards you.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Kritkraker

This raptor-like creature spawns in dark forests alone or in pairs, and they hunt anything other than themselves. Their sharp talons are very dangerous, and do 6 hearts of damage! Luckily they are very rare.
They would have 20 health, like any other creature, and could drop their talons as a powerful but short-lasting weapon requiring no crafting.
I imagine it as a bipedal (standing on two legs, although you probably already know that) version of that first picture, and its front legs are large mantis claws.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lavasnake

(I was inspired for this idea from another thread.) This thing spawns only in lava pools, above ground. The first two segments of its body are able to be hit, the last few are made up of non-spring lava. It does not naturally stray more than 10 blocks from its lava pool, and will not despawn once first spawned (limit of 1 per 5 chunks.) Each time a lava segment touches the ground, it causes a single fire to be made. There are two ways to kill this beast, with a bucket of water (near-insta kill) or by hitting its first two segments. It could drop lava source blocks or fire blocks.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Mimic

There could be two types of this monster, Grass and Stone. When left standing alone, they look like a single grass or smooth stone block. They aren't that smart, though, so it could get suspicious if you see a grass block in the middle of a prairie or a smooth stone block on top of some gravel. When you get within 5 blocks of the Mimic, it sprouts four legs and teeth and begins scampering towards the player. It has 15 hearts of health and does 1 damage per attack.

I imagine the Mimic to look like that picture when discovered, but with four stubby legs (and instead of resembling a chest block, it resembles a grass or dirt block.)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Mole
    viewtopic.php?f=1&t=60741

    Blowfish
    viewtopic.php?f=1&t=75819

    Beaver
    viewtopic.php?f=1&t=109590

That should keep you busy. I know they're a little advanced, but hopefully that will take the mod in a better direction. :iapprove:
BTW; I have all of the sounds for all but the mole, blowfish, and beaver. And my original ideas were copied from another thread I had posted them in.
Also, you should make the imp's head extend a little bit.. it's too flat right now.

I HATE this argument. Once, I was playing Minecraft at my friend's house. I was almost dead, and there were monsters all around me. He says "why don't you turn it to Peaceful?"

    I'm like

There should be an option at the start "Choose Difficulty."

You can choose Peaceful, Easy, Normal, and Hard.

On Peaceful, you can only switch to a harder difficulty, but never back.
On Easy or Normal, you can only switch up two (easy) or one (Hard)
On Hard, you can only switch back to Normal.

Seriously. It's a bunch of code, not your mother. If it's insulted, who gives a ****?

Now what if I said, YOU suck donkey cock.

No, I didn't actually mean that- but that was to show that an insult is so shallow without any reasons... Why would you, a relatively normal if not aggressive forum-goer attempt to please a mule by chowing its willy? Stop saying stupid things about people, mods, opinions, or anything and the flame will die down.

ffs stop making up random statistics about who likes what as if that was a legitimate argument. I think mo' creatures sucks also. OH, here are some different animals? What about all the other ones?

    Lions
    bears
    polar bears
    wraith
    flame wraith
    ogre
    fire ogre
    cave ogre
    ducks
    boars
    bunnies
    foxes
    7 horses

EDIT: let mojang finish more of the underlying code before they add content, BEFORE you start calling their designs useless

let DrZhark finish more of the underlying code before he adds content, BEFORE you start calling his designs useless/shitty

    Good point.

BTW: I definitely do NOT want Mo'Creatures in the vanilla game. I'm only defending its position as a mod.

why do you not want mo creatures mod in the game?

    1. Let him polish the code for skins, and animal spawning, that people complain about, before adding more mobs.
He's also only one person with a very busy life.

    2. Because obviously a lot of people wouldn't like it, and even I admit it doesn't fit the game perfectly as it is.
