If you want it for automation, Thermal Expansion, in 1.5.2 has the cyclic assembler, which is a fast auto crafting table, but also has support for recipes using liquids (using internal tank), but needs energy to run.
If you want it for the quick crafting method using NEI, XACT is a mod that has a similar functionality, but instead if a block that you can place, it has a item. It also adds functionality somewhat similar to RP project table with plans, though it did add them before RP.
I was going to update to 1.5.2 finally but theres so many mods not yet updated...the xycraft fabricator is way too useful to give up so I guess Im sticking with 1.4.7 for now.
Todays idea is this: A mod where you recieve magical blessings from various gods by building structures comprised of certain blocks in a certain order. Not entire buildings though but small things like pillars and 7x7 or 9x9 wall and floor patterns. For example, four stone slabs surrounding a 5 high column of mossy brick with a gold block on top would grant the blessing of the nature goddess or something and cause the biome colors in a moderately sized area around the totem to change to grassland colors. or a 7x7 floor pattern consisting of netherbrick slabs on top of obsidian would be an instant kill zone for anything that steps foot on it. Just examples off the top of my head.
my thinking is that these totems would not only serve a functional purpose but also give people a starting point from which to build something that looks really fancy. Fill in the gaps between pillars with arches and walls, stack them up higher and higher to multiply the effects and build large scale complexes that do something just by being there.
Having been nearly 2 weeks since Mo Creature last worked with Highlands I forgot how noisy it is... I'm Glad to see all you creatures roaming the landscape again... BUT WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP... My thx to all who worked on this and special thanks to Archibald_TK for the config file. Now to go deal with my noisy neighbors

Umm, I think there was something along those lines in the Project Zulu thread or maybe it was mob spawn control? I just know some dude asked for controlable spawners for adventure maps and he got what he asked for.
