    Ok so ars magica 1 was heavily dependent on the use of hotkeys. I havent played minecraft as much as I have since I traded in my pc monitor and keyboard to using my big screen tv, a mouse and a gamepad. Theres not enough buttons on it to accomodate AM1, would it be safe to assume the same is true for part 2?

    theres literally nothing stopping you complainers from playing redpower other than whatever weird thing compels you to update minecraft even though one of your favorite mods hasnt yet? If you want redpower, there it is. Download it and play. I will never ever understand why people immediately jump to new versions. You dont have to!

    Ive only watched the spotlight but I think the old way seems better and less cheaty. Probably wrong on that last one though. I still play 1.4.7 where you can upgrade shards on an anvil with another shard. I dont want to kill 1024 bad guys! Its impossible to achieve balance in modded minecraft anyway, you have to limit yourself and choose something other than the easy way if thats what you are after.

    well in my opinion the way things look has a huge impact on the fun quotient as well, particuarly in minecraft. Recently I added metallurgy to my modlist so I can make advanced/modern building material out of metal bricks but they didnt become useful until I changed the textures and now I have variety! As for your question, I have no idea. Optifine and MoCreatures are the mods that always give me the most trouble when it comes to updating minecraft but I cant stand to play without mipmaps. You could always make a mod that only does that, call it the epidemia78 mod and make sure I get all the credit.

    I should say this is one mod that makes me want to update, the lack of much in the way of 32x texture support and a complete lack of desire to do it myself has me stuck in 1.4.7 limbo. IF optifine's mipmaps were working in 1.6.4 Id be playing it now alongside thaumcraft 4, but Id probably have a million optifine related issues to contend with wouldnt I? Sigh.

    Cant wait to play this. Having spent a long time playing tc3 on 1.4.7 I can confidently say that Azanor's take on things is how I would do mods if I could. A combination of technical and artistic skill in equal measure not to mention an understanding of what makes games fun.

    yeah well screw both of their mods then. the optifine author constantly works to fix mod conflicts and doesnt go around complaining about other modders doing things he doesnt like. Everything in tinkers construct is a recolor of vanilla textures which is the problem with so many mods, no appreciation for aesthetics. Its no wonder they are so disrespectful towards a mod which makes the game look so much better. They dont care!

    thank you for your constant work on this great mod, highly anticipating mipmaps in 1.6.4 then i can play the new thaumcraft without the sandpaper effect attacking my eyes. i dont know how anyone plays without it.

    this mod never works for me. no matter which version of minecraft im using at the time. sometimes it tricks you into thinking otherwise but a few hours down the road and something goes horribly wrong. My most recent bad experience with it was no hostiles other than zombies but I could give you dozens of other examples. This mod addresses something that minecraft sorely lacks and few other mods attempt which is why I keep coming back to it again and again knowing full well it wont work. At least it doesnt disappoint. I dont know how anyone has ever managed to play this, how the thread is probably the most posted in on the forum. Maybe its the complaints.

    I have no reason to update beyond 1.4.7 at this point. Ive put together heavily modded instances of both 152 and 164 and theyre hardly any different from my trusty old version except in the case of 152 it takes twice as long to load and likes to run out of memory 164 lacks optifine's mipmap which I dont know how anyone plays without. Oh and my customized texture pack has been broken so theres that. Sure Id like to try Tinker's construct and DEFINITELY thaumcraft 4 but I can wait.
