    posted a message on Factions conflicting with any mods ported to bukkit?
    EDIT: After recent thought it occurs to me I probably should've posted this in the Bukkit forums...
    As forest gump would say, I am not a smart man...
    However, incase someone actually knows a fix to my problem, I'll keep this here 'till I get yelled at :3


    Hello!
    Recently I've been taking the time to set up a server with the following mods;
    • Essentials
    • Permissions
    • Factions mod
    • Equivalent exchange
    The server is running the "MCPC" version of bukkit, to allow mods ported to bukkit (E.G. Equivalent exchange) to run properly, or more so.. actually run.

    The problem I'm having is that whenever I put on a mod ported to bukkit (first attempt was balkons, which gave me the same error as EE is now giving me) The server gets just to the end of initializing and enabling, but as soon as factions is enabled, it brings up a severe error, and disables Factions.

    Other info:
    • Even with the MCPC version of bukkit, but no mods ported for bukkit, Factions still runs perfectly.
    • I'm running Factions with the EssentialsEco, so one has to buy their land
    • it should be noted the a mod ported to bukkit is not TECHNICALLY a plugin, but instead a mod for the vanilla SMP server client, ported to work with bukkit.
    • I am able to get both equivalent exchange, and Balkons weapon working perfectly by themselves on the MCPC version of bukkit

    No. Its not fine. Its an A**hole move. Notch and co. work hard to keep this game working properly, and coming out with updates... Plus, every time a version of minecraft is Pirated, a kitten dies. Let me explain;

    Every time a version of minecraft is pirated, 20ish Dollars going towards the Mojang funds is Gone. If Mojang has less money, then eventually Notch will have to fire some of the Coders. With less coders, theres less updates, and less bug fixes. With less updates + bug fixes, theres more rage in the forums. And more rage on the forums = heavy objects being thrown out the window onto poor alley-way kittens, and/or kittens being kicked. GG, scrub, gg.

    unless someone out there has some extremely elaborate design out there, i don't think so.

    The only way i know you could do this, is with the mod Minecart Mania, For this mods makes it so minecarts going over a pressure plate do not slow down. However, Minecart Mania is a mod based for Bukkit server clients, so i don't think it would work with single player

    Just as the subject says, anyone think lightning will have an item ID?

    I know you can't... Harvest? lightning in any normal (without cheating) way,
    But What I'm thinking is being OP on the server i play on... having lightning to kill people who break a rule would be epic xD

    no, rain won't be an "item" (with an ID), nor did/will snow, but Snow on the ground has an item ID. If snow (on the ground) is the after effect of snowing, then lightning is the after effect of raining, amirite?

    - A quick why we should let you play on our server? i used to play on a server my friend hosted, but after beta came out and mods stopped working, people were playing less and less on it, so now I'm looking for a fun new server!
