    EDIT - Look at Wikia or one of those places if you want to set up a website real quick. If you set it up yourself, it'll take A TON of time. Of course you'll have to pay to so it's all about weighing reward vs cost. You'll also have to host the website yourself.

    I already have experience building websites from scratch, so I think that's what I'm going to do. I have a few ideas in mind; it won't necessarily look like a wall of text.

    Thank you for offering your help! This thread requires quite a bit of time to put together and that's why I'm looking for people to help. Like I stated earlier, I was thinking of making a website for the super hostile guide. That too, would require a lot of time to assemble, but I'm looking forward to it!

    There aren't any other currently active super hostile guide on these forums to my knowledge.

I don't really think it would complicate things either, as "perma-torches" could be crafted (possibly 1 stick and 2 coal above it?).


    You do realize there's sometimes hundreds or even thousands of torches around you?

A default torch would last 30 minutes, which would be shown in the item's tooltip. If you put a torch on a wall for 5 minutes and retrieve it, it will say 25 minutes in the tooltip.

    Here's is an example of how combining torches would work (to increase time);

    This would be done in a crafting table.
    Also, a torch's time can be increased by 1 hour by adding another coal to it in a crafting table. When a torch reaches 0, it will simply go out and have a darker texture.

    That would be a nice idea, but wouldn't that just complicate things and create unnecessary lag?

    You'll need to use a tool such as NBTedit to edit the internal settings, but expect to have those region borders like the ones between versions 1.1 and 1.2 (jungle update).

    While I think might be a good idea adding to the game, I do agree that it's painful to replace them.

    That's why they should add a new source of lighting, easier to obtain than glowstone but harder than torches. And how about those jack-o-lanterns? Having torches running out would really ruin a lot of adventure map that depend on torches for aesthetics and lighting.

    It doesnt say on the minecraft wiki because theres and ghast fireball item. Thumbs up for the ghast fireball item to fire out of dispensers! And what do you mean be 1 year old threads im 11 years old

    You can't make ghast fireball throwers. You can make fire charge cannons by making a redstone on off machine activate dispensers, but theres no ghast fireball item. So what your talking about isn't right, they must be fire charge ghost entities.

    You don't know your minecraft name?

    Fun fact: when they say "Removed Herobrine", they actually removed little easter eggs referring to Herobrine. For example (I don't remember which version), getting shot by a fireball from a dispenser would say "Player was fireballed by Herobrine" in the server chat.

    They seem to remove it then add a new one each of those updates.

    Typically get bored at 7, when there's nothing interesting left to do...

    Someday I might build every single type of farm (food, mobs, music disks, etc...) in a single world, but that's so much work! I would prefer building those in creative for the fun of it.

    Yes, but these are often "external editors" and do not really affect regular survival.

    Has anyone tried to complete a Super Hostile map without breaking/placing blocks?

    It might be near impossible on older maps, but on newer ones, like Inferno Mines, you just might have enough resources from loot chests to complete it!
