M friend told me all these cool things about Minecraft, so I went home and got the demo for 1.5.2, I enjoyed it a little bit because I didn't really know what to do. A few days later I saw Pocket Edition, bought it, loved it. In October I bought the full PC game and I don't regret it!

I have a few:

1. Everything related to my house/base has to be symmetrical.
2. I mine every mineral I see even If I don't need it.
3. I never know what to do with that extra stair block, so I normally use it as a fuel.
4. Onto smelting, I try to be as efficient as possible, always counting items in eights if they need to be smelted. Doesn't add up to a multiple of eight? Save it until I have enough to smelt eight even if I have a stack of coal blocks just sitting there in my chest.
5. I tend to abandon a world if I die in it unintentionally, especially if it was a stupid mistake, but I keep the world if I got relatively far.
6. I never know what to do after I've gone mining and gotten a few stacks of iron and maybe a few diamonds or so. I wanna break this habit.
7. I can never keep a world if I haven't played on it for a while because I normally make plans while I'm playing and if I just leave for like a week I forget what I wanted to do and just end up starting a new world, which is killing the game for me because I don't like starting over again and again. I wanna break this one too.

That's about all of mine.. Any ideas on how to break my last 2 habits?

It's relatively fun, but I get bored after a while because I don't know what to do next

For people wondering how to install this on the new launcher, here's a tutorial that I used to get it working.
Edit: Just be sure to use 1.5.1 no higher, it'll automagically downgrade to 1.2.5

I agree, since adding extra levels onto Silk Touch or Infinity doesn't change anything on the enchantment.

These people who believe in Herobrine are really getting on my nerves.. Even my two friends believe that he exists, so what I did was, show them Notch's tweets about Herobrine.. It shut them up. The most recent one should do the trick, where Notch said "to get rid of him just ignore him" or something along those lines.. I don't have a link to it though.

This would help so much for when I, or anyone else for that matter, wants to go exploring.. On one world my base was ~250 from spawn. One day I wanted to go exploring, so I left my valuable stuff in a chest at my house. I travelled extremely far, slept many times and after a few days I just ran straight down a ravine since I wasn't really paying attention.. I was playing on Normal at the time and I constantly died while trying to get back to base because I starved to half a heart and took fall damage or got killed by a zombie or something, really annoying.

One thing that I plan on working on is basically make a villager community in a superflat world. I've built my house in the middle of three villages that are relatively far apart and I made a minecart track leading to a middle point between two of them where you choose where to go, the third one will have it's own track because it's behind my house. I plan on expanding those villages, having another segment for building statues of mobs and (possibly) my friends' skins as well as building my own little town with a castle. I just had a thought of having some other things in as well, like a zoo and a rollercoaster. These are all long term goals though, since I'm not gonna play on this world very often. Don't hesitate to use my ideas

Chunks load a lot faster in the snapshot than in 1.7.10.. What I thought was a chunk error was actually a floating island. I'm experiencing the same bug: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-62225

Well, with the actual gameplay I'd have to say now. I enjoy all the new stuff that came in 1.7 and I like playing in the latest snapshots. Community-wise, I'd have to say back in 1.5.2, since all the people from this server that started in 1.5.2 (and is still running) that I could talk to, just left.. The new members that joined the server suck because all they type in the chat is "can i have diamondz plz". I just think some little children shouldn't be allowed on servers because they spam this stuff and often don't read the rules.

My houses are normally 10x10 on the inside, very rarely double story. I always go mine for minerals first before building my house, just so I can have everything I need before I decide to go do something else like exploring the world.

Mine will have to be iron, simply because it's used for so many other things and the tools and armour are quite useful as well.

My most annoying death was when I first started playing Minecraft. I saw that there were maps, so the first thing I did was make a map, as big as they can go, then I was exploring to load all the chunks. I wasn't paying attention, since I was looking down at my map the whole time and I fell down a ravine.. Not only that, I survived the initial fall, but my fingers panicked and I walked back, landing on the block that ended up killing me. To make things even worse, if I had just let go of 's' a second earlier, I would've landed in water, which was a few blocks lower than the block I died on. Getting my stuff was also a hassle, since it spread out onto different blocks sticking out of the wall AND I had to back-track where I walked.
