Dec 16, 2013Enderman967392 posted a message on Saturday with Sach: Whats In a NameMy IGN is TheIronLombax, because of my favourite gaming series: Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet is a Lombax, and in one of the games, Size Matters, there's a multiplayer game mode called "Iron Lombax", so I stuck with TheIronLombax. I originally wanted to be NFSfreak, reason being Need For Speed games formed a part of my childhood, but that name was taken.Posted in: News

Yeah, I saw that too! I thought it was just because it was a new world I was running. Riding horses seems to be less laggy too. I wonder if they've overhauled the chunk generation...
True! On 1.6.4 I had major lag with low graphics quality and default resource pack (I think it was around 10 fps). Now, I'm getting 35 fps with everything in the video settings turned to the max with 128x resource packs. -

I absolutely love just about everything in this update, it opens up so many more things to do. By far my favourite update. - To post a comment, please login.

Okay, I can somewhat agree with that, but TheCoffeeGuy STILL wants to decide on whether to get the PS4 or Xbox One. He probably already has a PC, so I DON'T see why you're bringing PC into this. I agree it MAY BE a superior gaming platform with a ton of more games than either of the PS4's or Xbox One's predecessors, BUT those have controllers with analog sticks and a more interactive point of view, the PC with it's keyboard is just, you press a button and you move at this speed in that direction, but with analog sticks, it's more specific. I honestly can't see myself playing a racing game 100% properly on a PC, especially ones like Need For Speed Hot Pursuit where you need to drift at precise wheel turns, you know? (Guys, please don't start a rage at racing games from what I just said, it's JUST AN EXAMPLE)

TheCoffeeGuy wants to decide on a console. PCs are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT.

Edited. Thanks for your 2 sense. I guess?

On topic, I'd choose PS4 because it has more exclusives and it's cheapers, as well as the fact that I've only stuck with PlayStation since the PS2. I find Xbox strange in a way, I'm not sure why. It's just my opinion.

Here's a little Magic Launcher tutorial for you and anyone else who has problems installing a few mods with Optifine (with pictures)
2. Open up the Minecraft.exe and login, it should look something like this
3. Open the Forge Installer JAR file and install client
4. Select 'Install client' then click OK. It should look like this except with more libraries (it's only like this because I already have it installed)
5. Open up Magic Launcher and click on Setup
6. By Environment, click the drop down arrow and select the Forge profile. A lot of people forget to do this.
7. Under the Minecraft.jar, there are two tabs, one labelled Mods and the other labelled Advanced. select Mods and by the right, click the Add button and select your version of Optifine from the directory it is in and then make sure the box next to it is checked. Under that you should see another two tabs, click on the 'External Mods' tab and select the mods you want to use.
8. Now, go to the Advanced tab above and click on the Parameters text box and in there type this exactly as it is:
-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
You can just copy that and click use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V to paste it.
9. Click Test to test if it will work. If it doesn't work, re-check the tutorial and check if you did anything wrong. If it does work, and all the mod's additions are in and working nicely, close the Minecraft window and click OK in the setup, login and play!
OPTIONAL (for more RAM)
512 - 500 MB
1024 - 1 GB
1536 - 1.5 GB
2048 - 2 GB
2560 - 2.5 GB
3072 - 3 GB
3584 - 3.5 GB
4096 - 4 GB
and so on... just add 512 for half a gig more or 1024 for a gig more.
If this doesn't work, use less RAM, because if you use the maximum amount of RAM that you have for Minecraft, then it won't launch because there needs to be more space for Java to launch. Otherwise MAKE SURE that the 'Maximised' box is checked.

Maybe not reduced material cost, but with more durability than a regular iron one.

I doubt they'll have an almost full version by initial release, that will probably have to wait until maybe the 10th update or even later if they decide to go for the Sony versions from scratch. (Which isn't likely but possible)
