posted a message on There should be a table that lets you uncraft things

Example: The cake recipe takes buckets of milk. However, it leaves behind normal buckets in the place of buckets of milk.

Buckets don't get consumed in cake recipes, though?

How would you make the uncrafting table handle recipes with items that are left untouched or are altered by the crafting recipe?

posted a message on Hopper Changes and Pipes

Hoppers outputting connecting to all sides (and needing to be manually disconnected) sounds incredibly inconvenient. I don't think that system would work well at all for making compact hopper lines, since there would not be enough space to get in there and kajigger every single individual hopper.

Support for pipes, no support for hopper changes.

Given how many redstone systems would probably break if the existing hopper was altered, I think making this copper hopper a new block entirely would be a better idea.

Similarly, isn't it boring to get the "How Did We Get Here?" advancement?

Yes, yes it is. Which is why there should be less stuff that takes such a painfully long time to dedicate to and finish and not more stuff.

Why is "more challenging" better to you?

Yeah, bundles seem to be a convenience item that solves the problem of storing a wide variety of items (e.g. flowers) over a large quantity of a single type (e.g. cobblestone) by letting you store a normal stack of 64 composed of a number of different kinds of thing.

posted a message on Update bats

Bats could be improved a good amount by just letting them drop a guaranteed smidgen of XP, methinks. It would let you convert large dark spaces into pure (albeit slow and inefficient) XP farms.

posted a message on Why not add volcanoes?

Volcanoes to me would make much more sense as a randomly generating superstructure within certain biomes (such as mountain ranges), or a sub-biome within a volcanic-themed biome, similar to how mesa plateaus generate within mesa biomes.

As for what you could find there, I think it would be neat to find basalt and tuff in abundance within a volcanic biome; These blocks are a pretty cool alternative to stone, but it would be nice to be able to have a more accessible way of mining them out on a larger scale. In addition, as said above, random veins of obsidian would also make sense, in addition to magma blocks. Surface lava pools (and especially lava waterfalls) should generate more commonly in a volcanic biome as well, and would make the biome that little bit more hazardous to traverse.

Stuff like natural eruptions or adding a new mob is stuff that I don't feel is especially necessary. Blazes would be a perfectly suitable fire-themed mob to include as a naturally occuring, albeit rare, spawn in or near a volcano.

That just seems like challenge for challenge's sake. There's no point to making it that hard to enable respawning in the end.

Okay, but why should all of that stuff be added? It seems like you're just presenting content ideas with no reason why it should be added.

Copper is softer than iron, which is what the stonecutter's saw is made of. It wouldn't need any additional upgrades to be able to cut copper blocks, I reckon.

That's a neat idea! However, I think having amethysts make note blocks play chime noises would be more useful as an instrument than just crystally noises.

The small tiles seem to be a different block called Cut Copper; The copper block itself seems to be a full-block panel that actually looks pretty good imo.

Personally I'd much prefer being able to compactly store bones and not bonemeal. Bone blocks are called bone blocks and should rightly break down into bones!
