    Yeah, didn't know for sure where to post this, I didn't see a world seed topic anywhere, and I didn't want to post it in the world seeds thread because this is a 1.9 prerelease seed which is a "special circumstance" compared to the regular 1.8 world seeds since they generate differently.

    Hey everybody, I was pretty excited when I heard that 1.9 came out because apparently Notch has added quite a bit of content, so I quickly downloaded it and tried it out, and low and behold this is the world I spawned in: -2973527265315658514 (I have it set to generate random structures in case that affects the seed).



    That is the starting direction facing North (according to the wiki, the sun rises in the north).

    Here are the other 3 directions of the starting island:

    East


    South


    West


    This was a fantastic randomly generated world (in my opinion), and hopefully it will not disappear with the actual release of 1.9...

    Also, on a side note, there is a single tree if you swim to the Eastern island and then wait for the world to generate for a bit, you should be able to see an island with a small tree on it in the distance (My render distance is on far, just as a heads up).

    that's round's link hub, posted on july 11th with a link to this thread. he wouldn't have put it there if the mod was abandoned. it will almost definitely be out by summer is my guess.


    I don't know about you but for me it's the middle of summer. Right now. And since no one answered my question I will make it super big: WHAT HAPPENED TO QUINTESSENTIAL CREATURES 1? IT HAD ALL OF 2 CREATURES IN IT. WHY DID THEY BRUTALLY MURDER IT TO CREATE THIS THREAD? NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHY IT DIED/ IF THEY ACTUALLY FINISHED IT AND I JUST MISSED IT SOMEHOW OR WHAT.

    Side note: You guys do realize this was posted all of two months ago, right? I doubt it would be dead that fast.

    Hey, I have a quick question:
    I saw the original quintessential creatures mod which looked awesome, but it looked to me like that had only 2 of the planned creatures completed (turtle and troll) :/
    So why are you releasing a quintessential creatures 2?

    Not that I'm complaining, it looks great and would be fricken amazing if it happens to be compatible with the Aether, but I am just curious why the original wasn't finished...

    Hey, just popping in to throw in one quick comment and three quick questions:

    1. Flippin amazing mod you guys, thank you so much for all the work you put in to this it is just AWESOME!
    Questions are as follows:
    1. Is this mod/will this mod be compatible with Multiplayer? Ever?
    2. Do Aerwhales do anything or have a use/ do you plan on making them do anything or have a use?
    3. Are you going to add updates and new content to the mod in a manner similar to the regular Minecraft updates? Or did you plan on just making it a finished product and leaving it as is?

    Why I want to join: The server was recommended to me by my cousin and it sounded interesting, so I'd like to join and see what it's like, and I've never really played minecraft multiplayer so that'd probably be pretty cool as well.
    As I said above, I've never played Minecraft multiplayer before, so no, I haven't been banned from any servers.

    Rules? I agree.

    I was personally just reading the forum post for the mod Quintessential Creatures, and was inspired to post this suggestion: Someone (Either the legit developers or a skilled and devoted fanbase) should release an intricate mod adding mythological creatures and elements to Minecraft, such as Magic, Mythical creatures, rare materials, and alchemy. This would obviously have to be a huge endeavor to be any fun, but would easily be worthwhile and very popular if done well. I personally would love to help, I would just have to learn how to do coding and what-not...

    Dude I'm clicking on all the links for the creatures and you keep saying stuff like you doubt people will like the idea or some people may think it's dumb, and I'm just sitting here thinking "WTF I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL HE ADDS THIS AMAZING IDEA" (No offense, Mo'Creatures but this totally pwns you) (I just really want you to add some of the more fun looking creatures... or at least make turtles perma-tameable like the wolves)

    But I can't seem to find them in the sea either, and that's a large pool by the way, I think it's 21x21 and between 4-8 blocks deep (Don't remember exactly)

    Hey everybody, I've recently taken to building an undersea castle, and so far it's going well, but I have a problem: Squids will not spawn in a large pool that I intended to hold water mobs whenever Notch adds more of them. I can't think of a reason they wouldn't spawn, because according to the wiki they spawn anywhere, even in the Nether, so can anyone help? I've attached the image of the pool in case that helps, and thanks in advance :biggrin.gif:
