posted a message on Deeper Caves - Go Beyond the Void! [10000+ Downloads]

I think I MIGTH have ran out of memory, but the crash report doesn't say that it nar out of memory... I think... I was in the second level after the drop level... And I saw silver and stuff... But everything was going laggy and blocks didn't make sound when placed, so I decided to leave and come back on, and everything was unloaded andI crashed.

I do have other mods installed, but I don't think they can interact when you are in another dimension from a different mod, as they can't access it right? something like that.

Meh, I might just have a crappy computer... I will dedicate more RAM to my mc, but I have already 4 Gigabyes, soooo No idea.

EDIT: Dedicated more ram and it works fine. But There's one mistake you have done: In all dimensions, lava flows quicker, like in the nether.

And in the dimension where torches don't give much light, lava gives a pretty good amount. Haven't tried glowstone.

I want to state something in a clear short post:

    Minecraft isn't real life.

In real life, you make a microscope to see if animals have cells.

In Minecraft, you simply assume they have cells.

Minecraft tools will never be enough to confirm any of our theories.

In real life, we create electron microscopes to confirm the existance of subatomic particles.

In Minecraft, we look at a block and say: "It's divided in blocky things, must be some kind of particle"

We can't know if Blockules are 3D. We slice a block with a saw to see its insides. Instead, magic cracks appear and the block turns into a pebble.

We can spend our entire lives on this, but unless Mojang lets us have electron microscopes in Minecraft, or if They actually ADD all of our Hypotheses, we can't prove them.

    Quote from Plyb»

Quick thing before I start: its spelled Tritron, not Triton. Triton is one of Saturn's moons. Anyway:

Big thing I'm confused on here: where did tritrons come to mean light? Unless I missed something, they are completely different concepts.

Lets talk Geology for a second, since our discussion of Astronomy isn't seeming to go anywhere. Why do ores and dirt pockets, and the different types of stone exist? I mean, I know relation theory gives an explanation, but it doesn't really make sense. According to Relation, the pockets of material underground are caused when relation makes materials near each other similar, but wouldn't that just mean that the entire world should be filled with stone, since that is near almost everything? Why would relation affect these materials more than stone?

Using Tritron theory, these materials must have a different composition that simple stone. Diorite would have more white tritrons, diamond would have more blue, etc. Why is this? Just random chance that they group together, or is there some mechanism that causes this?

Tritron Tritron... Sorry bout that xD
But anyways, When I read about the tritrons I simply assumed they were the light of minecraft. Blocks having tritons tritrons that have different colors and something... I simply merged photons with tritrons in my mind...
About the Relation matter, I am not its creator, and I have no idea what the OP was thinking, but I think I should simply take its responsability... Relation, Is a force that generates the world, that is pretty the only non vague thing the Original Poster said. So, from 0,0,0 the World generates in a big bang of Relation (see what I did there?) Relation doesn't work block by block, but in big 16x255x16 chunks. Yes, chunks. if you travel too fast, (depending on your computer) you can see relation generating the world. It takes more time creating than loading, apparently... I the deeper, the rarer the ores. I think that Relation and its chunks each have properties. For example, the biome. If one chunk is a plains biome, nearby chunks tend to follow the same pattern, generating simmilarly to the first, but as Relation is this unstable energy, The plain biome eventually finishes, and another biome is produced, for example a forest biome. You can even see some chunks that are half one biome, half another one. If the chunk is "plains" it generates one way, if the biome is "extreme hills" it generates another way. all the way to 30,000,000 The chunks just stop generating. Easy as that. And the thing is, it is simply restricted to how the world is configured. You simply can't make a sense out of that, or a science. If I remove the 30,000,000 limit, the world can generate infinitly. We can explain stuff inside a minecraft world, a normal default minecraft world. Superflat doesn't exist, larger biomes doesn't either. I just get bugged about that.

So yeah. Imma leave Relation to chunks. Scarp everything else I might have said about Relation. Just think in chunks. If chunks "mutate" like some kind of cell, stone can also "mutate" into andesite, diorite, or granite. If grass exists, it might as well mutate into mycelium. But only in the creation of the world, where Relation is at its strongest point.

Ah... We should really just focus in one thing at a time... I think we should just finish some things before moving into new things. Lets just work out the easy stuff, or stuff that can actually be backed up. We can say pondity exists, but how do we prove it? I mean it makes sense, but how does it work? We've created evatism, sufflaism, just to work out why items bounce off blocks or something... Why don't we stop ourselves, write down what we are saying, and actually make it matter?

Man discovered fire before electricity, When we discovered fire we didn't wonder how the heck did it work. We just said to ourselves "Hitting stones makes fire" We worked out how fire worked, then we moved on into harder things. I really feel that Blockology, should just settle one path and follow it, before taking a curve into another one. I just wanted to say this. I can't keep it in anymore. There is simply too much stuff in our heads to work everything out. For example, Imagine this: I said that Relation works with chunks, someone doesn't get it, and uses this unfinished matter to back up one of his inventions, saying something like "Pondity doesn't work with Relation because chunks aren't inside the grid" I have never stated that chunks didn't follow Relation (Right? imagine I didn't) So then someone would get confused, build on that, and then when I come back and say "that is wrong" Everything falls down. I feel a someone will get confused and cause a disaster. I really don't even know what I am saying anymore.

I just want everything to be explained to me. Bonding, didn't completely understand it, Evatism, I understood it but it got changed, Sufflamism, I don't even remember, But it worked with evatism or something.

Last of all, I want to state that you didn't even respond to my hypotheses... So no idea.

Imma back out of the thread until the post gets updated and I have a clear image of what is going on.

posted a message on Blockology - The study of the world of Minecraft

I have a small theory: Redstone works with tritons/light.

Might be kinda random, But think of it. Light ranges from 0 to 15, And redstone does exactly the same. When redstone is at 15 power level, it is bright red, and when it's at 0, it is dull and doesn't glow. Does this mean that tritons are Minecraftia's main energy? I mean, if redstone is tritons, then pistons are activated with tritons, BUT when pistons are exposed to sunlight they don't activate... So maybe redstone slightly transforms tritons and changes their properties. This explains how all of the redstone based items power stuff. Redstone blocks, redstone torches... But it is still weird. Redstone dust needs to be activated, but redstone blocks, even though they are still redstone, give out power...

    I went off-topic. woops...

So yeah, Hypothesis: Redstone works with tritons/simmilar of tritons.

Proof: Both light and redstone levels reach 15 and start at 0.

Problems: Not so sure... But kinda off-topic: redstone dust alone doesn't irradiate energy, whilst redstone torches and blocks do.

Second theory : Light from the sun is spread across the sky.

Maybe kind of random too, but I prefer saying it now, even though everyone else is talking about complicated stuff that requires a lot of thinking <3

So, I came up with this mainly because minecraft has no shading. Even though the sun is going down, The block only has a shadow under itself.

So supposedly the sun gives out light, (Or tritons) but my theory suggests that all of this light is spread among the sky. So as light is spread equally, no matter where the sun at, light will always work vertically. And I feel, that on nighttime, the light still "bends" around Minecraftia, causing nighttime not to be pitch black.

Proof: No matter where the sun is located on the sky, light always works vertically.

Problems: The sun's visibility isn't well explained.

EDIT: Btw, this might mean that the sun isn't that far away...

When slimeblock is pushed by a piston, it bounces you to the side. But I still get the point... If you run up to it and smack your head against it you don't go back, not even with elytra.
Also, slimeblocks remove fall damage when you fall on them, but they do not remove the "kinetic energy" of the elytra wings when you smack against a wall. So...?

posted a message on Project Dragonrock [New Post-Endgame Blocks and Items!] [Screenshots!]
    Quote from Killer_Pixie»

    Introduction:

Well, one day I was thinking about Minecraft not having an end. You can kill the Ender Dragon or the Wither, but after this there's always something else to build, craft or mine. But I always thought there was an issue with this. Even when the beacon is quite useful, I think the Dragon Egg and the Beacon could have some extra unique uses, to spice up the player's Minecraft life after defeating the bosses, so here is what I suggest:

Even when adding all this stuff you can continue playing Minecraft...

    The New Stuff:

(The images below are only to give you an idea of how an item would look like, but I don't think they would be the definitive textures)

    Heated Dragon Egg:

    Obtaining:

The heated dragon egg is unobtainable in survival mode. The item, I am guessing... You should clarify this, as it causes confusion. (or at least to me)

    Generation:

When a dragon egg is placed on top of a beacon, with non-flowing lava at its sides, a hugeexplosion particle is produced, surrounding the structure while the dragon egg disappears and a heated dragon egg is produced in its place. The beacon block, or the Whole fully activated beacon with a diamond pyramid under it?

    Drops:

The heated dragon egg can only be destroyed by mining it with a diamond or dragon pickaxe. It breaks after 4.5 seconds and drops 9 dragon ingots. I don't know how you change egg shell into ingots... But it's alright I guess.

    Dragonrock:

    Obtaining:

Dragonrock is unobtainable in survival mode. AS AN ITEM...

    Generation:

When a bedrock block is mined with a dragon pickaxe during a whole minute without stopping, the bedrock block is replaced by a dragonrock block.

    Drops:

Dragonrock can't be destroyed in survival mode.

    Dragon Ingot:

    Obtaining:

When a heated dragon egg is mined with a diamond or dragon pickaxe, it drops 9 dragon ingots.

    Craftings:

8 dragon ingots can be crafted into a dragon chestplate using the same recipe as in a leather tunic, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

7 dragon ingots can be crafted into dragon leggings using the same recipe as in leather pants, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

5 dragon ingots can be crafted into a dragon helmet using the same recipe as in a leather cap, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

4 dragon ingots can be crafted into dragon boots using the same recipe as in leather boots, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

3 dragon ingots and 2 sticks can be crafted into a dragon pickaxe or axe using the same recipes as in a wooden pickaxe or axe, respectively, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

2 dragon ingots and 1 stick can be crafted into a dragon sword using the same recipe as in a wooden sword, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

1 dragon ingot and 2 sticks can be crafted into a dragon shovel using the same recipe as in a wooden shovel, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

It can be used in an anvil to repair dragon tools, armor and sword, restoring 1/4 of tis durability. Seems fair enough.

    Dragon armor and sword:

    Dragon Helmet:

    Obtaining:

5 dragon ingots can be crafted into a dragon helmet using the same recipe as in a leather cap, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability and armor points of a diamond helmet, but it makes its user completely inmune to negative potion effects. Witch encounter is nothing now... And it is as strong as diamond... Eh... I am in between of opness and okness.

    Craftings:

A dragon helmet can be crafted with another dragon helmet in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond helmet fixing. I like how you actually pointed this unneccesary fact out... It still applies... What am I even saying...

    Dragon Chestplate:

    Obtaining:

8 dragon ingots can be crafted into a dragon chestplate using the same recipe as in a leather tunic, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability and armor points of a diamond chestplate, but any endermen in a 16 block ratio of its user will be peaceful towards them and attack hostile mobs. They become neutral again when they leave this area. Ok. First of all, If I already aggro'd the Enderman, will it turn Peacful? This isn't good. If it turns Peaceful, you can kill it without it fighting back, possibly creating really cheap Enderman farms. And if I get 200 Endermen in a pvp faction server I immedietly become god.

    Craftings:

A dragon chestplate can be crafted with another dragon chestplate in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond chestplate fixing.

    Dragon Leggings:

    Obtaining:

7 dragon ingots can be crafted into dragon leggings using the same recipe as in leather pants, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

They have the same durability and armor points of diamond leggings, but they allow its user to teleport 100 blocks in the direction they're looking (Only north, south, west or east) If there's a solid block in the place the player is supported to teleport to, then the player teleports to the nearest empty space from that place. This ability is activated by pressing the "P" key while wearing the leggings, and it can only be used once each in-game day. So you can't precicely indicate where you will appear... Hmmmm But you said you teleport 100 blocks in that direction. Or at least until it has found an air space. So If I make a Reeeeeally long Block thing... I can teleport through that in an instant. Whoa...

    Craftings:

Dragon leggings can be crafted with other dragon leggings in order to get ones with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond leggings fixing.

    Dragon Boots:

    Obtaining:

4 dragon ingots can be crafted into dragon boots using the same recipe as in leather boots, replacing the leather with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

They have the same durability and armor points of diamond boots, but it allows its user to teleport to the obsidian platform in the End, no matter in what dimension they are. This ability is activated by pressing the "L" key while wearing the boots. Nice... But... Eh... Idk.

    Craftings:

Dragon boots can be crafted with other dragon boots in order to get ones with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond boots fixing.

    Dragon Sword:

    Obtaining:

2 dragon ingots and 1 stick can be crafted into a dragon sword using the same recipe as in a wooden sword, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability and extra damage of a diamond sword, but it teleports any entity it hits 3 blocks up from where it is. Upwards... So half a heart extra damage... Wouldn't this be kind of annoying? But in 1.9 if in the time the mob falls the sword recharges... Oooooh...

    Craftings:

A dragon sword can be crafted with another dragon sword in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond sword fixing.

    Dragon Tools:

    Dragon Pickaxe:

    Obtaining:

3 dragon ingots and 2 sticks can be crafted into a dragon pickaxe using the same recipe as in a wooden pickaxe, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability, effectiveness and extra damage of a diamond pickaxe, but it can mine bedrock making it drop 1 bedrock shard in 1 minute (You can´t still get to the void, as the bedrock is replaced by dragonrock).

    Craftings:

A dragon pickaxe can be crafted with another dragon pickaxe in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond pickaxe fixing.

    Dragon Axe:

    Obtaining:

3 dragon ingots and 2 sticks can be crafted into a dragon axe using the same recipe as in a wooden axe, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability, effectiveness and extra damage of a diamond axe, but it has a special effect. (I don't know what could it be yet)

    Craftings:

A dragon axe can be crafted with another dragon axe in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond axe fixing.

    Dragon Shovel:

    Obtaining:

1 dragon ingot and 2 sticks can be crafted into a dragon shovel using the same recipe as in a wooden shovel, replacing the wooden planks with dragon ingots.

    Usage:

It has the same durability, effectiveness and extra damage of a diamond shovel, but, when left-click is pressed while in hand, it will create an ender pearl moving in the direction the player is looking at. If I was digging I wouldn't want this...

    Craftings:

A dragon shovel can be crafted with another dragon shovel in order to get one with higher durability. It can also be placed in an anvil with a dragon ingot to repair it. This follows the same rules of diamond shovel fixing.

    Bedrock Shard:

    Obtaining:

When bedrock is mined with a dragon pickaxe for a minute, it drops 1 bedrock shard (It is still impossible to reach the Void, as the bedrock is replaced by dragonrock.

    Craftings:

8 bedrock shards can be crafted into a bedrock chestplate using the same recipe as in a leather tunic, replacing the leather with bedrock shards. Soooooooo... What's next?

    Responses in bold.

I want to know. Putting 2 tools in the crafting box fixes it rght? don't tell me it adds to the durability... That is OP.
And please add up to the bedrock shards.

    But for now... Partial support.

posted a message on New Mineral - Gallium (NOT a new tool/armor tier)
    Quote from Meby»

As it says in the title, this is NOT a new tool/armor tier. YES!!! Oh good thing you mentioned that...

I had an idea to add the metal Gallium to the game. IRL, Gallium is a metal used in electrical components like light-emitting diodes, laser diodes, and solar panels as well as a few other things. It is unique to other materials because it melts at 85° F... meaning it would become a liquid if you held it in you hand for too long.

    Nice image...

Now, lets get right into the suggestion!

Where it Spawns/How it is Obtained:

Gallium Ore spawns anywhere from y=35 and bellow. It is about 2/3 as common as coal, but only generates in veins of 2-4. It can be broken with a stone pickaxe and drops 1-2 Gallium Chunks and 0-3 Xp. Seems fair enough

    What is is used for:

Gallium Chunks can be used for a number of different redstone related items and into its own block (like Iron, Gold, Diamond, etc.), which has a unique use. As a quick note, I used Iron Ingots to represent Gallium Chunks in the crafting recipes. Still sounds fine...

    Gallium Pressure Plate

A Gallium pressure plate acts like a normal pressure plate, but only be activated by a player. This means if a mob or item falls on the pressure plate, it will not activate. This would be very useful to make sure mobs don't get into your house, or that a player can't avoid pressure plate traps by throwing an item on them. This is actually pretty original, and even though this would add another pressure plate to the game, it isn't something you will probably not use in your life like the gold and iron pressure plates... Nice.

    Recipe:

    Diode Gate

The Diode Gate appears similar to a metal version of a fence gate and is always open when placed. Ok? The Diode Gate has an entry side and an exit side, on one side it acts like a non solid block and on the other it acts like a fence block. So from one side, I can walk through it but on the other I can't... So does it automatically close itself or does it just not let you in? This means that once a player walks through the gate, they cannot move back through. Essentially making a one way passage way. Interesting. When powered, the Diode Gate will close completely and will not let anything through either side. I can already think of a ton of uses for this in an adventure map or a mob trap. You could even enclose animals using these gates, so that you can get in from any side (then use a normal fence gate or door to exit), but the animals inside can't leave. You wouldn't leave either... But I get the idea. By the way, Can you open this with my hand? Or do I have to use my new fancy Gallium Pressure Plate? hehe... And for a farm I think it would be better to use the Gallium Plate...

    Recipe:

    XNOR/XOR/AND Gate

This item looks similar to a comparator, however it has only 2 inputs on each side and 1 output. Like a comparator as far as I know... By right-clicking it, you can toggle between XNOR, AND, and XOR logic gates. For those of you who don't know a XNOR gate takes 2 inputs and if both are in the same state, then the signal goes through, if one is off and one is on the signal does not go through. An AND gate only sends a signal through if both inputs are on, and a XOR gate only sends a signal if the inputs are in reverse states (one on, one off). This would be UNBELIEVABLY useful for redstone mechanics. XNOR and XOR gates take up a ton of space, so this would be an amazing space and time saver. I like how you made the three gates in one block... I am guessing the texture changes when you switch them right?

Recipe (Ignore the name of the recipe on this GUI, I just needed something to call it and XNOR/XOR/AND Gate didn't fit):

    Gallium Block

Gallium Blocks don't act like other ore blocks. ? They appear somewhat similar to iron, but just slightly darker and more metallic. When powered, Gallium Blocks become translucent and allow entities to move through them, as if they were air. That is original and I love it! Water and lava can also flow through them when they are in this state. This is useful for water gates and traps, Fancy dispenser as well as mob farms involving suffocation and water. I'm not making a recipe GUI for this one, because its just like other ore blocks, 9 Gallium Chunks in a crafting table.

Thanks for reading my suggestion, comment what you think :)

    Responses in bold.

This is a great Idea, I luv it 10/10 would pour gallium over my head again...toomuchSteamlately...
Anyways, do you actually have to smelt the chunks?

The Nether is 60,000,000 blocks wide and only 128 blocks high (the lava filled bit that is.)

So how could we be seeing it as square if viewed from the side?

I am not sure at all about this... But... A block in the nether is 8 blocks in the overworld (making the Nether kind of like a hyperspace travel thing) So if my memory doesn't fail me or if my logic is right... The Nether should be an eight... eighth... 8th... 1/8 the size of Minecraftia (in width not height). This is my guess as, supposing Minecraftia is 60,000,000 blocks wide... Then the nether should be precisely 7,500,000 blocks wide... If it was bigger than this, Creating a portal over the 7,500,000 limit would create the portal outside the world... (We all know it can't)
But the portal can simply create itself on the edge of the world.
Eh. I didn't want to use the forbbidden... Forbidden... Forbbiden...damnenglish THE WIKI yeah... The wiki... Imma simply test it geez.

I have teleported to 29999999 ~ 29999999 (because it for some reason didn't let me do 30000000) And I saw the world border... And crashed. wut

I managed to do this right and went to the edge of the world, and when I created a portal back to the Overworld, as suspected, It got me to the world border. Weird still...

NEW THING! (Minecraft forums merge posts together wut.)

What happens with FENCES? It goes up to a meter in height, but you can't jump over it... And if you walk over it you seem to be floating, like if you were on an invisible slab. This breaks everything we've been Discussing... Evatism? Pshhh I prefer FLOATING over the block. Or Is it now the other thing that I think starts with "S" And I can't remember the name... Saffle something... Sufflamism Eh, But I still float over the object... How does that work? Fences are made out of WOOD, We can't Float half a meter into the air over wood, so even though fences are made out of wood it changes nothing... And this can't be caused by the shape either, because trap doors, doors, and other blocks have different shapes but they work fine. The same phenomenomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom happens with walls... (I mean the block "Wall" or cobblestone wall...)

    So this is very mysterious...

So many questions... How do Beds work? How do we respawn? Why does the player burn in fire? How does the player jump a full meter without bending his knees or doing anything else? Who are villagers? Why do mobs not generate with the world? Why do hostile mobs only appear at night? How do enderpearls work? What are ender crystals? How the heck do they heal the enderdragon? What is the ponditism grid made out of? If minecraft is infinitely tall, how are the Sun and moon over minecraftia? Why does the Void kill you but not the sky? How the HECK do we get to the nether/end? How was Minecraftia formed? How do Ghasts fly? Why are zombie pigman in the nether but not on the overworld? What are SERVERS? How do you resourcepack? How does heat work? Why can't you ride pigs without a saddle? Where do the Horses' things-you-put-in-their-mouths-to-control-them-idkthename come from?

We are so far away from what we are trying to reach... We are working out how Minecraftia's Physics work, but we still haven't touched the common Science of mobs!

    Wow I really went off-topic...

EDIT: Why didn't the forums merge my posts this time... Did I get confused in something... Imma just leave it.
