The majority of players (the ones with any common sense) dislike the idea of firearms, and Notch is already opposed to them. So, nope, sorry. No guns. Get the mod.

Also, maybe you could implement the web tiles, now that they're in the game?
How about this: if you have a stack of rope ladders, you click and hold the right mouse button, and it continually makes a ladder until it hists the ground. Then you can see when your stack has been depleted and you don't need to hold it anymore.

Never in my post did I say we could ride pigs without saddles, or anything like that. The question I put in the beginning was more of a starting point for discussion. I understand that you ride the saddle, but it should be possible that you can put a saddle on a tamed spider. How is this impossible? It should be relatively easy to create, and in fact, someone has already made a mod for it!

This may be true. However, he's not the only one programming the game anymore, plus a modder has already done a lot of the work. I agree that there are other things Notch could be working on, but I doubt the things you have in mind are "better" for everyone. No, this is a legitimate suggestion that I think would work really well and that a lot of players (besides you, apparently) would enjoy. This is nowhere near being a troll thread. Of course, you may be the one who's trolling, and in responding to this (and if you're intentionally trolling), I would have let you win. If not, well, I hope that my explanations make sense to you.
I do realize with the adition of wolves, I'll have to edit the original post to define the difference between them.

First, craft a music block. Then, set it so that the block plays a drum sound.
Then somehow activate the block a few times. After that, run around the block in a circle, repeatedly crouching while you do so. After that, light the block on fire and throw one of three things in the flames: a feather, raw pork, or a diamond. The chance of rain coming is based on what you throw in:
