Try venturing into a cave for about 2 hours, finding like 10 diamonds, only to fall into lava later on and lose everything you ever work for....Manly tears were shed then.
I am amazed at how many people in "Survival Mode" are able to get to go back and get their stuff when they die. Survival Mode deletes your world when you die, so are you in the wrong location here? or in the wrong world there.
No, I don't play on Hardcore Mode a lot, I just get uber ticked and delete the world.
Actually, When you die in survival you drop all of your stuff randomly within a radius of where you died, you can go back and get it, but if you're not fast enough it disappears.
What you're talking about is not "survival", but "hardcore".
Ah yes, the amount of times the shift key has failed me. Fell off a steep cliff into lava, got out and then died. Lost my awesome enchanted Diamond Pick.

Traveling in the nether and you somehow miss a quite large and obvious cliff that drops perhaps a mile down into lava, and when fighting some pigmen you get smacked off the edge, and lose all your diamond equipment.

Anyway, this problem with lava has never happened to me, but I have made the mistake of sneaking on a platform that is equal in level to a pool of lava. Good thing I was wearing diamond armor.

Ok, so I was playing Minecraft (a kind friend gave me a gift code), and I was venturing into a deep cave, thinking "Oh, it's just a short cave" (I was so wrong) I find my first Abandoned Mine Shaft with a Spider Dungeon. (no Cave Spiders?) I get down into a good spot and find Gold, Redstone, and Lapis Lazuli. I look around for Diamonds, and THOUGHT I pressed the Sneak button, but I pressed Caps Lock and fell into the lava pit and died. (The same thing happened a few more times, but no Abandoned Mine Shaft) That was really disappointing. ._.
i was playing on hardcore when i went into this village and then went into the library and there was a creeper SITTING?! it was so perfect, he sat in a chair with a table in front of him. probably reading, but this was no normal creeper as u can see. so i just had to show my discovery of this abnormal creeper.
You don't just GET everything (except for Creative mode), you have to work (and work (and work)) to obtain enough stuff to build something, like a Sky Fortress.
We have Boats, right? But why don't we yet have Sailboats? Or, if anything, why don't we have Paddles? (Oars, whatever you want to call them) If we had Sailboats, we would need Wind. Wind would be like Water, it could push you. (Depending on the wind speed) If Wind wasn't moving, it would be Air. If Air was moving, it would be Wind.

Lol, I was in a ravine in my last game, and got distracted by Creepers and touched the lava and burned. THERE WAS GOLD ORE AROUND THE CORNER, TOO!
