    Make sure there is a light source at least 8 block away from the block and to be safe have water touching the farm block.

    Not a weird bug at all, just a normal one, this actually happened for the snapshots before 1.6 and 1.5.

    There is one thing that happens sometimes, I am sure it is a bug but when I player attacks a pigman, and dies they can sometimes either lag out, or ragequit from the death menu. With this, it renders the person as still active in the nether therefor the pigmen never calm down until the person logs back on.

    I actually agree to this to an extent. I think it should be less common to catch fish based on the size of a water mass

    In time increments of three seconds
    1-5 blocks- 5%
    6-15 blocks- 10%
    16- 25 blocks- 20%
    26- 50 blocks- 35%
    51- 100 blocks- 50%
    101+ blocks- 70%

    I am....
    On the fence with this idea.

    Well I have never tried any of these for the reasons you are pertaining but I have all the games I play set on the same keys.. Not due to playing to much Minecraft but it is due to the fact that memorizing keys to every game you play is annoying, same with console controllers, I play with a Fully custom controller style and I have a controller for them all.

    Easy fix, do one of a few things.
    - Get a plug-in that allows Chat Channels.
    - Get stern and tell them that if they wish to carry out longer conversations to move it to Skype or some other means of socializing.
    - Mute them if they grow over bearing.
