    If you don't wanna play with diamonds, than don't :P No one's making you. Just play without diamonds, or just have a diamond pickaxe for obsidian. You can just use Iron Armor and tools, except for a diamond pickaxe just for mining obsidian. As for the OP part, well that's just a personal preference I guess. But as I've already said, you don't have to play with diamonds if you don't wanna. :P

    I say go ahead, use it. Because it serves as a great point to build upon. Eventually, you will develop an itch to modify it in a way that requires coding. At that point, you will start to learn java / MC modding much easier than if you just jump into it, overwhelmed.

    While I always like classes, I don't think you need it. They serve as a great starting point, but to succeed in this, you need passion. Passion that you may not build if you jump straight into java coding. Passion that you may miss if you don't start with something small. So that's why I recommend starting with MCreator, and once you have come up with something and have that itch to make it do what you want it to do, that passion alone should be enough to figure out how to tweak its code, imitate what it generated, learn what each part does and eventually move on to making mods from scratch.

    That is literally the best way to learn, as it avoids the ton of frustration that you might get at the start that would otherwise get you to give up.

    N0rw0lf is so so so correct. I used to use MCreator for mod making but then I put it down and started coding. Its an amazing way to start yourself and start your way to Modding. I would recommend it if you wanna start off, but when you think you're ready, go on and learn to code :).

    Even though I love writing my own mods now, I still fully support the MCreator community. (Please don't hate me guys, I'm just being honest.)

    I tried with either way, but there's no difference. I tried setting it all in my main class and not in the item class and vice versa, but no difference :-/

    Hey guys. Sorry to disturb everyone.

    I just started coding a couple days ago but I can't figure it out. I've already coded in some items, armors, tools, and blocks, and these all work. It's just the textures don't work. I'm on 1.7.10 and my textures are located in the src/main/resources/assets/Dragonium/textures/items.

    I've just been trying to figure it out with an ingot. Can someone please help? I've been searching around for a while online, but I can't find anything. Even my friend who went to a coding camp doesn't know. (Except he forgot everything so whatever.)

    As this is mcreator, try to add SpawnEggs. I used to use MCreator until I realized how simple modding was, like coding. I don't remember if MCreator has spawneggs or not, but its worth a try right? Also you can do Rotten Flesh to Leather, Experience Bottles, and even Obsidian. Be Creative with your recipes :D.

    Anyhow, I used to love MCreator and still sorta do. It's a great resource for getting started with modding. You should look through the code behind the mods, its kinda fun looking at what you've done.

    If and when you feel ready to move on, I recommend Sams Teach Yourself Mod Development for Minecraft in 24 Hours. It's how I've been learning how to mod. It's a fantastic book and you might find it fun. As somehow who used to use MCreator, but has moved on to coding, I still don't get why people hate MCreator so much. It's useful to get started.

    I get you probably already stopped this mod, but its a great mod nonetheless.

    Anyhow, great mod and post this on MCreator too, not just here :D Also try to stay away from PlanetMinecraft, they absolutely hate MCreator Mods. XD

    This is absolutely brilliant! I used it when I was working with a fun collaboration map with a couple of friends. Got them all confused when I made an axe with Attack 100 and Speed 0.5 for when it came to aspects.

    If you have the modloader.cfg, than you can just turn off TMI.
    Just find Toomanyitems and goto where it says "on" and switch it to "off"
    Then you can install NEI
