I'm getting this crash constantly, using a custom modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10 on Forge 1217. Running special mobs version 3.0.2. This happens even if I make a new world.
I like the slowdown mechanic when walking on certain blocks, but can you make it so that I can add blocks from other mods and decide how much each block slows me down?
Of course though, any backpack, satchel, plastic bag, golden bag of holding or anything that has it's own internal storage totally bypasses the encumbrance mechanic. Combined with MFR, getting plastic bags on day 1 is pretty OP.
That's only if you're not using a well-designed modpack though, and we shouldn't balance mods around those... except Dirt-to-Diamonds.
Question: Does the Encumbrance Slowdown Mechanic increase Exponentially, or is it just Linearly? I ask as I believe an option to enable exponential slowdown and adjust the level, maybe even increasing the exponential increase level at certain encumbrance levels would really allow Modpackers to punish holding onto too much and would add some interesting mechanics players would really have to think about. If it already is on an exponential increase equation, could we have a config option to adjust the rate of increase?
May I use this in my FTB modpack NAM? I am looking over my modpack permissions and have noticed I have not yet gotten any to use this mod. I am currently posting in a thread over in the FTB Forums chronicling my daily progress if you would like to see my pack's progress. I have recently restarted my pack on 1.7.10 and found this is the best tech mod for what I wish to do.
I'm trying to put together small mods to put on a RP server. I'm hoping this gets on the list, but just a quick question. If used in multiplayer, is there anyway to edit how a specific player or players react to certain environments? I'm hoping to try to include some kind of race selection and I'd love to make each race be affected differently in each biome. Sorry if this isn't making much sense.
Examples:
Desert dweller race = more resistant to heat stroke and lose less thirst in deserts. Opposite in snow.
Snow dweller race = More resistant to frostbite and lose less thirst in snow biomes. Opposite in deserts.
I was pretty much about to say the same thing..... ._. I want to start doing the mob properties again from scratch, and this is the only thing that's stopping me atm.
Glad to know it's not something stupid on my part. I'm having a similar problem with the Custom Chest Loot too:

That's nothing like what I said. I said that we shouldn't balance around POORLY balanced modPACKS

So I guess this means permission to use this in a modpack is denied isn't it?
