    Hey Chocapic,

Back on 1.6.4 (I think it was this version, maybe not..) I used to get 60-70 fps on your Extreme preset. This was on a 4670k at 4.2 and a Radeon 7970. Now, with the same rig I can't even get 30 fps with the Extreme settings in 1.7.10. Any ideas? I know it sounds stupid, but it seems like shaders just started lagging for no reason at all. I don't have any ram issues or corrupt files, it just lags for no reason (the 7970 can play most games at max, it's equivalent to a 680 or 770).

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Chocapic,

Sorry to bug you again. I apologize if it seems like I'm 'accusing' your shaders, but here is a comparison image I put together to show the lighting bug. The issue also appears in the nether, where the SEUS shaders work perfectly fine. I can fix the issue by turning off advanced open gl, but how do the SEUS shaders work even with advanced open gl on?

BTW, I'm using Optifine 1.7.2 HD D1, and Forge 1024, if theres anything to do with that. I'm using the Extreme V4 shaders.

New test version with POM support!
    Changelog :
-POM support from bump-waving 0.98 by karyonix
    -Way faster
    -Flickering blocks should be fixed
-Fixed wrong normals in some block sides (and only shaderpack with fixed pom for 1.7.2!)
-Torch/glowstone... light can have fake specular (fake because it's impossible to have light position)
    -Godrays through clouds
-Some modifications that I can't remenber

Turn off advanced openGL, turn on shadowfrustum. This problem can still happen in some rare cases through big obstacles to sunlight but it's unfixable even if you increase shadow distance.

The issue doesn't seem to occur with SEUS though. Is it possible to get a fix from him?

    Hi Chocapic,

These shaders look great! But I have found a problem: Light sometimes seems to still come into underground caves, as if they weren't covered. I have found that the problem occurs only sometimes on my server.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

This is contest entry for Planet Minecraft's Caved-In Contest. Enjoy!

    PMC Link: http://www.planetmin...-contest-entry/

    Features:
    • - Fully furnished! No empty 'shells' to be found here. Interiors have been fully completed.
    • - Full paths and stairs for you to explore. Great for Adventure map, or even PVP
    • - Fully automatic redstone farms (may lag a bit, sorry!), both for harvesting crops and mobs.
    • - Adaption of the Gothic Style (arches and buttresses galore)
    • - A mystery for you to experience; hidden diaries and Easter Eggs, see if you can find them all!
    Some backstory:

"Work began on Nova Nocturne long ago, the original buildings long since gone, a new city built over. All except for a lonely shrine which lies at the side of the city, crumbling year by year."

Fast forward a few hundred years. It is NV year 248, Nocturne is a thriving city of trade and mining; it has a library, fortress, embassy, towers and an old abandoned shrine. However, strange things are about to happen at Nocturne. In the night a purple mist spreads throughout the city, citizens disappear, goods are stolen, planes come crashing down. The shrine is to blame, but the city is on the verge of decay, it is already too late. No matter what the city tries, the shrine continues to expectorate strange entities capable of great destruction. Finally, Nocturne gives up. Citizens attempt to run, hide and stake out the disaster, but few make it. Nova Nocturne simply disappears.

In an attempt to cover up the incident, the government permanently seals up Nocturne. The tunnels are collapsed, forever locking their secrets in. Transmissions are cut; the media is barred from mentioning it. Curiosity sparks, and word spreads of conspiracy and deception. Over the years, however, Nocturne is forgotten from the public's eye. It merely becomes a legend, a tale spread over campfires and late nights.

Fast forward to the present: You are a simple miner, searching for riches in the earth, mining deeper and deeper, hoping to strike it rich. The map for your area simply reads 'Abandoned. Do not mine.' Perhaps an old mine shaft may present itself? No such luck. You dig deeper and deeper, and break your way into what appears to be a maintenance tunnel. It is collapsed on both ends, and there are no minerals at all. Out of frustration you bring your pick down on the rock in front of you. The tunnel begins shaking violently, and debris in front of you collapses in on itself. The dust settles...and what do you see? Light streams out of the gaping hole...Your time has come.
