Try playing around between the bat file and the actual launcher until one works. If that doesn't help just ask on the forums and say what happened. If all goes to hell you could always try uninstalling and reinstalling java
*edit* Some guy had the same problem and said this "I discovered that minecraft.exe didn´t have permission to write so a simple trip to the permissions page fixed my problem. "

when i ran the custom launcher as admin i got: Could not find main class: net.minecraft.launcher.Minecraft.
When I ran regularly It opened but blackscreened and I get this:

Thanks, It worked. you might want to add a note on the custom launcher to force update if it doesn't work.
*Edit* Nvm, after I closed out of minecraft and tried to open it again, it showed the same error report and force updating doesnt work
