    I don't understand why people are complaining? ITS PVP your gonna die obviously, and its a pretty cool server, its organized, and there are two cool factions to join. People who got banned were probably greifing since anyone who is a griefer is banned. And its only 4 days old guys you have to give it a break, its growing fast for only 4 days

    According, to physics, the crossbows had more tension and potential energy maximums than did a Bow. For example a bow can shoot maximum lets say 200m while a crossbow could shoot 350m that is why the crossbow replaced the bow. Whats the point of this comment? well i though the crossbow should be stronger, and have a farther range than the bow, but a long delay time for reloading compared to the bow.

    in summury
    bow=fast close range attacks
    croosbow=slow far range attacks

    thoughts?

    Btw I love this thread, and would love to see this implemented in Minecraft (hopefully beta)

    This Is not an idea for an OBJECTIVE rather, a side mission, minecraft will never have a main goal, because it is minecraft.

    um minecraft is geting a main goal 12-20-10 when it go`s beta

    okay whatever, the point is im trying to emphasis the idea of the temple, with a boss concept, IF minecraft ever gets an objective I won't care either way. Btw what will the objective in beta be? im curious.

    The idea of using obsidian for a stronger arrow type, is extremely appealing, since it won't be an obsidian weapon so people don't worry about that, and also it is a good use for obsidian. I approve on the arrow concept. Im not to crazy about the flinging arrow weapon you suggested, since it wouldn't appeal visually, and wouldn't fit minecraft. [>>-i>]

    This Is not an idea for an OBJECTIVE rather, a side mission, minecraft will never have a main goal, because it is minecraft. however Maybe, I was thinking about how, to get to the Aether, you need to go to the nether, first, and then you can go to the aether. Well could there a side quest added now? I was thinking that what if in every aether( since it is randomly generated in different game files) randomly generated One temple. This temple would have difficult to beat opponents, such as the sentinels, some kind of moving gaurdians (someone suggested yeti? not sure if i like yeti though) and two or one big foes, kinda like a boss, or the king mob of the aether. After you defeat every mob inside the temple a door would open in the back, and inside there is a room filled with treasure chests. Im thinking like 4 regular hest found in dungeons, and 1 special treasure chest with a new item only found in the treasure chest in the aether making it the rarest and most valuable item. What the item is could be debateable obviously. (special heavenly sword?. armour? airplane? magical orb? wings to let you fly? camoflauge armor that makes you invisible to enemy mobs? so many possiblities) Or perhaps have three temples, and after you beat each one, you find a key, and on the normal overworld (earth) there is a final building that requires the three keys to open with the boss inside? I know this idea is kinda radical, but this would add some kind of side mission or fun task to complete, and after you beat the final room you can continue to play minecraft normally so it would be more of a side quest that an atually game main mission. I personally prefer the 3 temples in the sky to make it more challenging, and then a boss in the overworld.

    This sounds a lot like the AETHER. The aether has gained momentous support, but I like some of your ideas as well. check out the aether thread to see what i mean, it is also the polar opposite but its more heavenly in nature. The aether is not mine btw, i just support it,

    I have a few problems with this here Goliath mob...
      [*:1x4wj5sj]Goliath was an EVIL giant in the Christian Bible.
      [*:1x4wj5sj]The only trees in the Aether are some darkwood on the bottom of islands.
      [*:1x4wj5sj]Aether mobs can't be directly causing damage to the player.
      [*:1x4wj5sj]I'm almost certain that the story of Goliath took place in a desert environment.
    So you're telling me that you want an evil giant with a tree-weapon to protect the Aether? While mind-blowingly awesome, this doesn't belong in the Aether. :sad.gif:

    true it probably doesnt belong in the Aether, probably more of a forest biome creature, but the yeti is more thundra biome. In the aether I think the mobs should incorporate, heavenly aspects, like like, wind, water, pureness, etc. niether the yeti or goliath fit. I think maybe some enchanted temple statue gaurds, like they are normal statues but when you walk in, they come to life and attack you. the statue itself can be anything, a soilder, a dragon, the form doesnt really matter, a lion, eagle, phoenox, minotaur, etc. WAIT MAYBE mythological creatures in the aether? cyclopes, minotaurs, hydra, etc.

    Hey,thanks for posting MY idea in the SUGGESTION SUB FORUMS (SEEMS WISHLIST GETS LESS ATENTION...)

    Anyway,its better for me and you because it will get more atention than in my post...

    EDIT:This was how I imagined the trading system:

    -TRADING WINDOW:

    This might be hard to code but it will be worth the effort.
    If two players want to trade with each other,then one should write the command /TRADE *InsertPlayerNameOrTag* and then the other player (TARGET) will have a little window or text popping up asking for confirmation,of course they should be at least 2 block near eachother.
    If the TARGET accepts,then each one gets a window showing 2 3x3 grids and next to them a Green Tick ONLY in the other player grid
    (the green block represents the Green tick)
    [] [] []
    [] [] []
    [] [] [] :Green:
    Another player grid

    So if a player is satisfied with the other player selection,he clicks the tick LOCKING the other player grid (that avoids any kind of griefing),if both grids have the tick ON,then a little button saying "Ok" should appear below,finishing the transaction.

    Never saw your post so it's not YOUR idea just because you came up with the same concept and posted it before me. But yea the 3x3 grid is exactly what i imagined it as. the green tick is just like the confirm button too, but honestly i dont care about the agreeing button thing, as long as there is one. Your right this needs to be passes around, I think it would benefit minecraft [>>-i>]

    Connour's Goliath mob hasn't died just yet. its gonna be the guardian mob, not the yeti >_> I mean the Goliath mob holds a freakin tree as a weapon, thats just badass

    now a goliath mob is something i would like instead of yeti!
