Ok, so I've been wanting to host a server and when I asked my parents about the port on the router, and I explained to them what i was going to use it for. My dad goes no, because about security exploits via the router and such, so I'm wondering how secure is the Minecraft server software concerning ports and such and can a person get into the network via the server?

That is amazing but as people have said light blocks are a must because I love building bunkers that go all over maps and i dont want pitch black bunkers (zombie survival in bunkers w/ no light ftw)

Ok, so im trying to run a server for some friends, though i've ran into problems. . . firstly once you've edited the properties file how do you apply it, Because the server never accepts the edited properties file. . . Also I put my name into admins.txt but it doesn't accept me as admind. . . Also strangley it doesn't accept the commands like /say /kick ect. . Help would be appreciated.

Hello, I need a spacey map a 512x512x128 map with obsidian walls and 4 medium sized planets made out of rock and 1 large planet made of gold. Planets should be around 30 blocks wide and 30 blocks tall and the gold one can be 60 blocks tall and wide

I would greatly appreciate if any one can do this
