People think the new blocks are made for modern building, but they can be literally for anything because of the varying colors. Really like the way you used them! Although now I have like 16 more blocks to use for landscaping.... this will take a whlie....

Zeahro posted a message on Lets Build - EPIC DetailPosted in: Let's PlaysSubbed and commented. I mentioned in the comment that it's always nice to watch other people do building eps/tutorials. It's very helpful (who is not a builder) to pick up some building fundamentals and get some ideas.
I will state (I did in the comment as well) your frame rates are pretty rough. If you're not running Opti-fine or Liteloader, I would highly recommend it. It was pretty tough to watch.

VladTubaka posted a message on Two Functional Wind Turbine Projects (modded)Posted in: ScreenshotsPart of the fun of using modded power generation methods is decorating them and situating them in a way that resembles real life. These are a couple of projects I've worked on in the last year. The first is a northern European style wind turbine using RedPower 2's first tier wind turbine (I am playing TekkitLite - Minecraft 1.4.7 - on this one), and vanilla blocks (oak planks and fence posts, stone bricks and smooth stone, and nether brick). The second is an attempt at a more rustic American style wooden wind turbine using an Immersive Engineering's second tier turbine, treated wood scaffolding and fence posts (also from Immersive Engineering), and custom blocks from the Platforms mod (using oak and dark oak).

I agree, it will definitely make detailing about 5x longer, but it will be well worth it in the end!
