And as always, let us know if you have any thoughts on our other maps!
So i updated to 1.8.4 and my spawn coordinates were (-71, 65, 176) so they are off from what they should be
It should be a flat world. And judging by the spawn coordinates given, I can see that another world is being generated instead of this map as your Y value is not 231.
Are you playing this on LAN or as a multiplayer server?
If LAN can I see a screenshot of your C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves folder please
If it is run on a server could I see a screenshot of the server folder.
I'm having issues getting anything to load when I play with friends. I start a single player world on my lan and i don't see anything that would lead me to think this is pre built. I'm running 1.8 and am wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
What version of Minecraft are you running the game on?
I have just tried the download on my Minecraft (1.8.4) and booted the world up on single player. You should be at the spawn location.
Check your coordinates too. The world spawn should be (0,231,0)
If that doesn't work please let us know and we can try the next steps of diagnosing the issue.

As far as your comments - I'll try to address them as best as I can for the moment!
The tutorial is planning to be expanded along with the game, incorporating all of the new ideas we implement so it should hopefully become clearer in what to do. The idea is that LOUISE will inform you of anything still outstanding any time you attempt to power up the S.S. Retribution.
The spawn is an ongoing issue - we are trying to get to understand spawning logistics, but as far as the literature goes currently, the spawn area should be large enough to allow all players to spawn in it. We will look into this in the future as we progress with more alpha releases.
The villager system is one to be implemented in the future, the current plan is to allow players to make 'cleanse' villagers and put them to work around the ship and planet. An example of this would be having a villager operate the iron mine, speeding up iron production. In future updates broken areas will be added, including breaking two of the thrusters and the mine. The player will need to collect the resources required and then put a villager to work repairing the area for added bonuses. Please do bare in mind this is release 0.3 and as such is very early in the development period!
When we update the map, the easiest way to transfer the file would be to /give yourself the materials you had before - as unfortunately there isn't a simple way to map the files over each other. That said, the idea is that the game should be complete-able and give you a score that can be compared to all future versions for you to improve on!
We are very pleased you are enjoying the map though and love to hear comments that people have!
Initial commands now set player to adventure mode
Tutorial thoroughly brushed up
Lots of bugfixes for the 3D printer
Music added to resource pack
Rotating title screen images added to resource pack
L.O.U.I.S.E. now correctly detects when you leave the ship
Sand to iron conversion rate changed to 25:1
Mission Objectives (from Engine Control) update as tasks are completed
End no longer triggers immediately when all conditions are met
Village keep now accessible
Lots of inescapable craters filled in
Oxygen upgrades now display correct upgrade numbers
Command block on Floor 3 removed
Initial keycard creation process sped up
Crafting Sheets named
Starting chests are locked until appropriate
Removed Haroldbrine
There are a couple of ways to do this! And it can be simplified thanks to some of the commands available now!
Here is an image of two ways of performing this action:
The top one is the conventional style: Inside the hopper under the chest is already 22 of the item you want to test for. Given there are 5 slots in the hopper you need to ensure all 5 are filled to no other items can fall into it other than ones that stack. I suggest 18/1/1/1 as the stack sizes for the item you are testing for in the hopper.
Then, when the specific item is added, the hopper will suck it out and the comparator out of the back of the hopper will output another signal reaching the repeater!
The bottom method is much easier, and the player "could" keep the item if you wanted them to.
inside the command block is the command /clear @p[x,y,z] stone 0 0
You MUST either remove the [x,y,z] if no-one else will be near the command block, otherwise, replace the x,y,z with coordinates of the pressure plate. this will ensure that the player standing on the plate is the one that is tested for.
the word stone can be replaced for whatever item you are testing for.
if you wanted the item to be removed from the players inventory simply put:
/clear @p[x,y,z] stone 0 1 in the command block.
Hope this is clear and helps!

The minimum volume only effects an area and will still not be heard a few blocks away. The volume command is actually not to do with volume of sound, but distance it can be heard. So by ramping it up to 300, you have to be 1000s of chunks away not to hear it.
Had a few minutes to think about it and have managed it using the scoreboard command!
Pink: /scoreboard players set @a teleport 1 {SelectedItem:{tag:{display:{Name:"CUSTOM NAME HERE"}}}}
Green: /tp @a[score_teleport_min=1] x y z
Blue: /scoreboard players set @a teleport 0
x y z are spawn co-ordinates
Custom name has to be added through command or renaming on an anvil
/give @p ITEMNAME 1 0 {display:{Name:"CUSTOM NAME HERE"}}
Added hint: you might want /gamerule commandBlockOutput false
to stop the messages from popping up onscreen
This can be connected up to a redstone clock to be permanent and global!
That will test for an item with a particular name ONLY WHEN HELD AND IN THEIR FIRST SLOT, therefor you can use it to test for a named book.
Connect this up to your input: Like this:
The pink block would contain the testfor command listed above, and the green block containing /tp @p[x,y,z] x y z
The coordinates inside the square brackets being where the pressure plate is, and outside being where to teleport to.
HOWEVER, if you wanted this to be global, you would have to set up a redstone clock attached to one command block. The code inside being
an execute code (which I hate) something (not exactly) along the lines of
/execute @a{Inventory:[{Slot:0b,tag:{display:{Name:"NAMEOFBOOK"}}}],SelectedItemSlot:0} ~0 ~0 ~0 /tp x y z
In order to test a player is holding it in any slot, you can either give it a custom attribute level 0 and then test for attribute level 0, or attach the system above to 9 command blocks, each testing for one slot.
This map is really cool, my friends and I have been having a blast playing! Thank you!
Thank you! Your feedback is invaluable to us!
