Now we have to update all the pig textures in the packs!
Probably won't be to difficult and defiantly worth it, pigs look much cuter now!

In the newer pics of the mushroom biome, there are a lot of normal mushrooms alongside the giant ones, and the grass is brown.
Nice, hopefully I can texture the grass more blueish ala Terraria :smile.gif:
I picture a shroom forest as made up from many tree sized shrooms, a few large shrooms like the big trees we already get and a handfull of epic large shrooms like in the OP. And lastly legions of normal shrooms everywhere.
Sep 2, 2011I am all for large epic mushrooms, but only a few per biome, small basic shrooms are good, maybe tweaked from what they are now, as long as there is a large forest it should look pretty cool.Posted in: 1.8 Update Discussion
How about a different coloured grass shade to go along with the shroom biome?

A very nice thing for jeb to do, and a thanks to the op for posting this up. It will make a world of difference in the next update. (I hope they continue to do this with further updates :biggrin.gif:)
He has been doing it for a while now, since 1.5? maybe, i forget. Helps get the texture packs ready for release, Jeb is awesome that way :smile.gif:

Oh wow, it does look like one! Footprints would look pretty cool, granted they're actually added.
Now to just figure out what the other 3 are...
Between the footprints and the lava has to be the Town Borders, first two for the border, third for the vertical shiny part, if that is how Notch plans to implement the borders ofcourse.
the four mushroom textures are 2 for the 2 types, and 2 for the stalks, maybe the speckled texture is for the underside of the mushroom crown like some real mushrooms.
The vines under the wheat fit the pumpkin/melon vines well, but what is the third one? more vines? EDIT2: The wiki is a wonderfull place : http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Ivy
Next to the fish must be the rotten meat?
EDIT: someone make a labeled texture file like we had in the past please, will help inform those who still don't know the old textures :wink.gif:

Update! Happy to finally be getting these out of the way... that much closer to completion!
That armor is epic!!
The shears are sexy too, but the armor overshadows all :tongue.gif:

Do I have a mental disorder if I actually like the new cobble?
I always disliked the old one and this is much better.
The new cobble is much better thank you very much!
OP you should post images of this town of yours, I am certain it looks better now.
And have you heard of Texture Packs before? Try them

there is 1 thing that is "useful" about the shears, you can now pick up leaf blocks... why that feature couldnt just be added to the axe tool is beyond me? my inventory is always cluttered with junk already do i really have to carry another tool around with me?
Sounds like Minecraft might not be the game for you, I suggest playing something else, Tracks Mania Nations maybe, but avoid World of Warcraft at all costs, the cluttered inventory might cause you a heartattack....

from what i understood in 1.8 sheep are supposed to regrow wool and be more permanent until killed.
so you could put a few sheep in a pasture and simply harvest the wool without having to kill the sheep and cross your fingers that you'll eventually repawn some.
shear recipe is like flint/steel only it's 2 ingots
I would think they'd require sticks aswell, o well

Naw, just kill the sheep. You will still get 1 wool.
do you still get one wool, i heard rumors that you don't?
If you still get wool it means getting a bed is at least a bit more difficult.
How much wool do you get with the shears now? still 1-3?
And what is the shears recipe precisely?
Jun 30, 2011Cutting leaf blocks quicker + placaeble leaf blocks, make the shears very usefull.Posted in: Discussion
And does getting one more tool really make the game that much more difficult???
Install a mod that removes the shears or /give yourself everything if your too lazy.
