(I made a search of the wiki before posting, and found some similar posts, but they were from three years ago.)
I am terrible at redstone. Still, I have a lighthouse I want to light up. The configuration at the top is four redstone lights arranged like a plus sign with nothing in the middle. I am trying to figure out how to make them pulse in sequence, say, 4 seconds each. I think I can get discrete signals to them by using torches that lead up to them, but have no idea™ on how to create the pulses.
Two small hopper clocks powering a pair each? How would I get the two hopper clocks to synchronize? I also don't have a lot of room, since the lighthouse at that level is about 9 blocks in diameter, narrowing to 6 blocks at the top where the lights are. What circuits should I be considering?
I am so sick of having to look around to find mods and stuff for download and avoiding AdFly. I DO NOT want to load any @#$%@#$% download manager that will put God knows what on my PC. I just want to download Shaders Mod and Optifine. Where, oh where are they? Sheesh!!!?
Thanks for all the information. My video editing needs are modest at the moment. I just would like the editor to accept native Fraps files (.avi). I would also like to mix at least 2 audio tracks.
I think AfterEffects might suit me, but I have used Camtasia at work, and may go with that, although I am not happy with the price.
Thanks for the advice. I kinda thought so, so I performed some tests last night. Converting it to .mp4 seemed to give the best results. But now I am faced with a decision. Since Windows Movie Maker refuses to read Fraps .avi files, I am forced to consider another video editing program. I have narrowed it down to three: Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12, Camtasia Studio 8.x, or Adobe After Effects. Any thoughts on the best one to use? I have already hit the wall in terms of pushing Movie Maker to its limits. I wanted to include two audio tracks in a video yesterday and Movie Maker only allows one.
Don't flame me if I post something that is answered somewhere else, OK?
I can't seem to find the right settings to render my videos so they are smooth. I'm using Fraps and recording at 60 fps. My screen resolution is 1900×1080. When I view the raw .avi files, they look fine. But I have to convert them to .wmv files to get Movie Maker to open them. This introduces motion blur that makes my videos look muddy.
Why are my Fraps .avi files not able to be read by Movie Maker? Do I need to move to another video editing program? That is the obvious answer, but there must be a way to get Movie Maker to see these Fraps-generated .avi files. Or do I need another screen capturing program?
I'd appreciate if if you guys knew the answer to this issue. Thanks.
P.S.: I just posted a video on YouTube where you can view the problem:
There isn't a dark gray wool. The closest thing you'll get is black, gray, or light gray.
There is, or at least it's listed in the Wiki.
-----------from the Minecraft Wiki-----------
These colors of wool naturally occur on sheep; all others must be created by using dye on a sheep (right-click):
White sheep (the most common)
Light gray sheep
Dark gray sheep
Black sheep
Brown sheep (rare)
Pink sheep (veryrare)
-------------------------------------------
If you search the forums, you will find it is mentioned in many posts. What it doesn't list is how to make it. Moreover, I used it in Creative mode. Perhaps it doesn't exist in Survival, but I'd like to know that if this is the case.
I have a need for lots of dark gray wool, but can't find the recipe for it. Do you apply light gray die (one of the five flowers) to black sheep? Do you craft bone meal and ink sacs in a certain way? I've searched the forum and found lots of references to dark gray wool, but no recipe for it.
Perhaps you could place your automated wheat farm within a village enclosure and let the villagers harvest it. I'm not sure how to access the villagers' inventory to access the grain, though. I've wondered where they store the wheat when they harvest it. Does anyone here have the answer to that one?
I really should study the wiki more. They don't store wheat, they make it into bread. Sheesh.
I believe I've even seen people collecting the bread by placing hoppers under the dirt to pick up the made bread, but I'm not sure about that one either. Off to YouTube to find out!
There isn't really much else you can do to automate it further, since that would require automatic placing of the wheat, and detecting or bonemealing it to full growth, and I don't think you can detect that or even automatically place seeds. There MIGHT be a way to do it in 1.8 when it comes out, but that's only a MIGHT, and I don't think what's in my mind will work.

Are you sure you pushed it into a proper air block within the roof bedrock blocks? I once tried this and did not account for all the blocks being 'covered.' The wither got loose.
I have had good luck performing this dance at bedrock level y=5 or 4, and using iron golems to do the dirty deed. However, sometimes the wither kills the iron golems and you have to sally forth and kill it yourself in melee mode. Bring lots of milk.
No, but when I was still messing around with photographic equipment (when photo was still on paper), I made myself a "drum roller" and an agitator for the acids. Can't do that into a pc....
I did that too when I was young.. took over the spare bathroom and made it a darkroom. I wonder how many here know what a drum roller is. lol.
It's amazing to me that such talented people create these things without any thought of recompense; just for love of the game. It's refreshing. (OK, I'll stop gushing now.)

Oh, I realize that. But still, it looks familiar, no?
