This is a tip to make your minecraft 100% bright, by slightly modifying your minecraft files, useful for youtubers.

Originally posted by me on Planet Minecraft, months ago, but I'm here to post it here.

Todays topic is something I've seen a lot of minecraft youtubers encounter, and lots of comments wondering "How do you do it?". So I'm here to share the answer.

Most of you know how to get to your appdata folder, if not, go to your computers search bar, which on windows 7, you would press the little circle with the flag in the bottom left corner, for windows 8, go to the menu and press the search icon, etc.

Now, you type the EXACT in:

    %appdata%

Once you're done typing the full thing in, a folder called roaming will appear, open roaming. There should be lots of more folders in roaming, find the folder called:

    .minecraft

Now open it. There should be a few folders, like saves, resource packs, some others, and some files. You should see a notepad (.txt) file titled "options" you double click it to open it and it should display the following:

Or something similar, because I enabled streaming, you might not have, but anyways, the fourth line down is gamma:1.0 or something of that sort. Now change "gamma:1.0" to gamma:1000.0" and restart your minecraft. Everything will always be bright. You can change it back to 1.0 when you aren't recording, if you prefer that way.

I guess the easiest way to do this is to have a single book for each Pokémon. Then, depending on the Pokémon captured, you'll receive the appropriate book.

I applied earlier this thread, and I stated I am very experienced with redstone/command blocks. We'd have to make a book for every pokemon that when you encounter/catch it adds one to the scoreboard, a redstone clock testforing the scoreboard for one on that person, with a comparator to teleport the book to a chest (no one can access) that I can hook up my contraption to make it automatically replace the old pokedex that player's inv for the new one. I tried testing it out earlier but I encountered one problem. Maximum of 50 pages in MC book.

I've definitely seen you somewhere before!

I haven't decided yet, but it would definitely be nice to have them in by the end of the year!

Could you acknowledge everyone else who asked to help?

What kind of server? A public one, or a server for all of us to work on while we're making the map? or both even?

    Both
Also, I think we should make an actual Pokemon region, and I can use command blocks to clone models of armor stands and I can actually make good looking real pokemon with armor stands.

I came from Logdotzip. Good job! I think I can help you:

I'm okay at building, but I'm a true Pokemon master, I know how every single route and everything in the games, of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Kalos, but not Sinnoh or Unova, all the mechanics of battling, etc. I'm also very good at command blocks, commands, and redstone. I also have lots of server experience, so I can make this into a server if you like, and I can update the map weekly. I work okay with others, but I work better by myself. Please contact me via email if I can assist you in any ways. I really hope this gets popular. [email protected]

    Best regards,

Yeah, about that, I have absolutely no idea how to.

Get an experienced developer, or.... challenge! Make it in vanilla minecraft with redstone! I could do that.

May I please have my slot back? I was out on a trip. Please also give me a valid reason why I was demoted from OP. In my opinion, (you have rights to disagree with me) you were being immature by telling me to jump into the void, /killed me, tempbanned me, blocked me on skype, ignored me. I only /killed you after you did to me. All of this because I joked I had hit your wolf with a freaking stick.

Ignoring this will prove you immature. If you deny both of these, you're just downright rude.
