    I came up with an idea during my long absence, and I will share it now.
    I think there should be dungeons, only one of each kind per world, and they contain the blueprints for a super powerful mech.
    The mech will not be customizable, but it will be immensely powerful, kind of like a boss mech. It costs alot of resources, but whichever faction controls one or more of these mechs has a huge advantage over the others.
    There will be a couple different kinds of mechs, each with a specific dungeon and its trials (puzzles, tough enemies, traps)
    Ideas for mechs:
    Huge, towering Daemon, making the Komodo look like a kindergardener.
    The dangerous Arachnid spider bot, with an ultra powerful laser and turrets on the back.
    The flying Archangel, a huge, flying capital ship with a charge shot that can annihilate a whole building.
    Post suggestions for these. I think about 6 should be enough (counting these, but if you come up with better, I will replace one of mine)

    Okay, I am now officially back! No, this was not a hoax, at least for me it was not.
    The reason I had kind of given up was because I had lost a programmer that was central to my plans, and I was not gathering anything from the others either.
    This mod is officially under development once again, and since we have taken some losses, we are recruiting modders/texturers once again.
    Requirements to join:
    Prove me in some way that you actually CAN mod or texture (point me towards one mod you made, or offer me some sort of content).
    Pledge you will actually work on this, as we REALLY need to get this mod out quickly as it has been long delayed.
    Otherwise, I will just choose one of you to join the team, and there are no more requirements.
    Let's get this mod up and running once and for all! Enough delaying and procrastination! Domini Ex Machina is officially back!

    We are making good progress. Mostly everything is done, and we are just waiting for a few things to be finished up. Expect the mod to come out within a couple of weeks.
    I am talking about the Alpha version. When that is done, updates will come out frequently. We just need some time to organize and coordinate ourselves before we can work at full efficiency.

    We already have planned jump packs, but dashing sounds pretty good. I think we'll implement that into wearable armor and mechs.
    Shoulder attachments might come later, and what do you mean by "different leg pieces"?
    Keep the ideas flowing. This goes to all of you who may have ideas for this. They might not be implemented, but they will definitely all be considered.

    With my decision of very little crafting/items, we wont need many more texture artists, but we will need modellers (if that is a thing, I am not 100% sure.) These mechs will look very complex and have many different looks because of the variety that can be made.

    This is in progress, so not everything can be in the mod when we put it up for download. Rome wasn't built in a day.
    Side note: Nano power changed to Nanites(sounds cooler)

    New Structure: The recharging station!
    Get close to it, and your mech/anything that uses power will be recharged.
    Immobile mechs will be hooked up to power with NP tubes.

    Hello again Minecrafters! We are back in action after a long MIA period for me.
    So here is how stuff will work in construction:
    Power generation and basic machines will be your standard fare blocks (similar to RP or IC). I am debating wether I want the Alkali generator to be a multi-block structure, but this is unlikely.
    Here is the twist: the bigger machines will never be in item form. There will never be a Salamander mech frame in your inventory. However, the nano tool will have a GUI pop up when you shift right click. You can set it to repair mode(repair mechs) or build mode.
    Build mode will make you choose from a mech, allowing you to customize all of its modules and systems, and it will tell you how many resources are required. When you have chosen what you want, click on "Build" and you will exit the GUI to find a hologram of the mech you have planned, and with another right click, you will place it into the world. When this hologram is placed, you can move around freely and come back later to build it. You will right click on it again, and it will begin the construction, taking out the items of your inventory that are required, and build the mech in a short time for you! Longer times for more complex mechs (longest will be around a minute, probably).
    The nano tool will use up energy, and will recharge automatically near a generator or a holding cell with NP (nano power) in it. This gets rid of that pesky crafting (yes, I am looking at you IC, while it takes about half an hour to make all the parts for a nuclear generator). Yes, there will cool particle effects and animations!
    Expect updates daily or at least every 2 days from now on. I will not leave without announcing so again.

    We are making solid progress on the mod, despite some setbacks. (cough-cough Notch and his updates cough-cough). Damnit Notch!
    Silicon is being changed to Filum, which will have some cool uses, including armor and nano-related stuff.
    Oh, we really need texturers, btw, so if you can texture, I'll accept 2 people, and then recruiting is over!
    Expect to get a new post with a download for a pre-pre alpha version quite soon.

    New thing that is really simple but really useful:
    The All purpose Transformer! Pretty expensive machine, but uses Buildcraft/IC2/RP2 power to make Nano power(name that may or may not be placeholder), which, otherwise, is only accessible through the extensive use of Alkali metals.

    The Wyvern already flies. There will be more flying vehicles too. They are not really "mechs," though.
