i really can't stand the rain in MC and normally have it disabled, i noticed there's a config to disable it as well, but i'm wondering if setting this particular config flag to false will only disable mystcraft being able to over ride nei's disabling the rain? or what? i'm totally OK with rain in mystcraft ages, but this re-enabling things i've explicitly turned off $@!% is in-excusable, should i set both false? or just this one below?
weatheron.enabled=true
[edit] it would be both from what i can tell, set to rain to false first, no change, set both to false, rain setting is no longer changed from disabled in overworld [/edit]
Config settings in Mystcraft are for symbols. You can disable the other weather symbols, although you could also write no weather already, and you can even think of it as a game mechanic, as a goal to find that symbol.

I'm reading a lot of "Writing stable ages" but that concept is not yet fully understood, what makes an age stable or unstable? How does writing an age cause stability? Is there a difference between a written age and a randomized age in stability if all the symbols are identical? Does having more than 1 symbol that modifies the same characteristic IE Blue and Green fog cause instability? Can you tell if an age is unstable or stable somehow?
Random ages are always unstable.
I'll be moving the wiki soon, I'll make sure a spoiler-free guide to writing stable ages is included. For now make sure to have a few symbols from most tabs, (You don't need one from the last tab and most are "negative" anyway...) don't have duplicates or more than one from tabs like Biome Controllers or Terrain Generation, and don't use Dense Ores.
Copying a random age will give you a stable age, but eventually symbols will be learned a different way and you won't see the added symbols for books.
