Probably my favorite adventure map ever. I tried downloading 1.4.1 but the folder is empty. The link of 1.4 is broken. I've been meaning to play this again after a long time.
I'll always support this mod. Its funny how so many people love Tech mods but a lot of them are even more advanced than this. Also, I also think its more of the fact that it has been 1.5 for ages instead of the picky audience, because there are more of the advanced stuff lovers than people let on. I used to think this mod was a bit confusing when I first saw it, but that changed a day later when I tried it. Hopefully once it updates its fanbase will grow again and it won't be restricted. And of course the remaining fanbase there is could find ways to further endorse this mod if the former fails. I actually know a pocket of realistic minecraft lovers that would instantly support this mod. It just needs time to work and update and it will grow again.
Can't say why to add a whole new tier surrounding a field of items you only use for a small time. you don't even need the copper/tin tier. let alone branching another pointless alloy from it
I know that. But the point of it was that a new tier like that would make more sense than tin swords, per se. Arsenic Bronze can be mined, and is realistically as powerful as the tin alloy bronze is now in Minefantasy. Anyways, Do you have any new ores planned for this update or future updates?
Heh.. If we have tin swords we might as well have arsenic bronze (Which isn't a bad idea.) Can't wait to play this on a new world. If only Enviromine and other simple mods updated.. Oh well.
The only problem I have with this mod is how cheap you can get Blaze powder. Other than that, the other stuff is very balanced. If you can make the blaze flowers much more balanced, it would make more sense.
links are made from 4 ingots in a circle
I
I I
I
(make 2 sets)
then 4 of those makes a sheet
LL
LL
then assemble the sheets into armour on the anvil(same recipe)
as for the gui, just take the image from an older version
I actually figured this out after looking a bit more, but didnt bother to edit it. Ill try to change the GUI, but I hope this gets fixed anyways because the new GUi actually looks nicer, its just broken, or whatever.
Also, can I still make chainmail armor and how? I noticed that the recipe changed but I dont know how to make it, because its clearly not shown in NEI alone and there doesn't seem to be an armor folder in the recipes folder, If there is I haven't found it. EDIT: Also, Im kind of confused about the new bloomery GUI. The Gui slots are off and I don't know how to put in the other fuel, So Im kind of stuck.
Also, I noticed something. I cant make a pickaxe. A bronze one. Im using the exact same things it tells me in the jar, but it wont work. All other tools I can make.
I kind of feel stupid for saying this, but copper's spawn rate still doesn't feel common enough. The reason for this is Iron is more common than copper, I feel like copper should either be as common as Iron or more, that or you could try to edit the iron frequency. Also, do you plan to do anything with breeding or domesticating crops? that would interesting.
well if you enable retro worldgen, there's a chance that could happen. Did you back up the world first, like the config file warning tells you to?
Retro worldgen must be manually disabled once enabled - it doesn't turn off automatically.
@Dreadent_the_Doom:
I'm going to proceed under the assumption that you are running a 32-bit machine. If I am incorrect, let me know. 32-bit machines are limited to a 4GB process space. Of that 4GB, the OS takes a chunk and the JVM takes the chunk that you allocated using -Xmx (or whatever the default is that MC takes, if you aren't specifying). In what is left, the JVM threads are allocated. So, the more RAM you need/allocate to the actual game itself, the fewer threads you can create. Here is what that looks like (more or less):
So, you have to either reduce the memory allocated with -Xmx or (carefully) reduce the stack size using -Xss.
Of course, the real fix is to move to a 64-bit machine and remove the limit.
Im on a 64-bit machine. Im starting to doubt this is the problem, because I tested it, and adding so many more mods doesn't give me this error. Only Ars magica gives me this.
